    摘要: A gasket includes: a metal plate portion having a sealing target hole and a fastening hole; and a coating layer applied to a surface of the metal plate portion. The coating layer includes a rubber layer and a lubricating layer having a lower coefficient of friction than the surface of the metal plate portion. In the coating layer on a part of the surface of the metal plate portion that includes at least a periphery of the sealing target hole, the rubber layer and the lubricating layer are laminated and the lubricating layer is arranged on a surface layer of the coating layer. In the coating layer on a periphery of the fastening hole, the rubber layer is laminated and the rubber layer is arranged on a surface layer of the coating layer.

The seal bead has a high hardness portion having a hardness higher than that in a portion of the metal plate other than the high hardness portion. The high hardness portion has a thickness gradually reduced toward a boundary between the high hardness portion and the portion other than the high hardness portion.

    摘要: A cylinder head gasket is formed of a metal plate, a sealing bead formed in the metal plate around a liquid hole, and a peripheral bead formed in the metal plate to extend around a periphery of the metal plate. At least a part of the peripheral bead is set to have a surface pressure lower than that of the sealing bead when the gasket is tightened by that the height of the peripheral bead is lower than that of the sealing bead or the width of the peripheral bead is greater than that of the sealing bead. Thus, when the gasket is tightened, substantially uniform and optimum load share can be obtained on the peripheral bead and the sealing bead for the fluid hole.

    摘要: A cylinder head gasket of the invention is used for an internal combustion engine with at least three cylinder bores. The gasket is formed of a metal plate extending substantially throughout an entire area to be sealed, and a reinforce coating. The metal plate includes two end holes, at least one inner hole sandwiched between the two end holes, and beads surrounding the respective holes. The two end holes and at least one inner hole are arranged linearly to correspond to the cylinder bores of the engine. The reinforce coating is deposited around the peripheral portion of the at least one inner hole so that sealing pressures are formed substantially equally around the two end holes and at least one inner hole. Other reinforce coatings may be deposited around the peripheral portions of the end holes.

    摘要: A cylinder head gasket includes two or more metal plates laminated together to form the cylinder head gasket, a plurality of cylinder bores formed in the metal plates, a plurality of annular seal portions, each surrounding each the plurality of cylinder bores to seal therearound; a plurality of bolt holes disposed at an outer peripheral side of the plurality of annular seal portions so that fastening bolts are inserted therethrough, and a partition protector having a thermal deformation coping portion, located in the two or more metal plates between two of the bolt holes. The thermal deformation coping portion includes offset slits in each metal plate such that none of the slits are aligned in a lamination direction of the thermal deformation coping portion. The slits prevent damage to the cylinder head gasket due to temperature fluctuations by accommodating thermal expansion or contraction of the cylinder head gasket.
