Each cam has a shelf and defines a first position and a second position. The cam is able to rotate between its first position and its second position for urging the electronic package to move, and when the cam is located in the second position, the shelf blocks the electronic package from a vertical direction motion.

    摘要: An electrical connector (1) includes an insulative housing (10) and a plurality of stamped contacts (12) resided therewithin. The conductive contact includes a central spring beam (122), a side spring beam (124) located at one side of the central spring beam, and a contact portion (121) formed between the central spring beam and the side spring beam for electrically mating with a mating component. The central spring beam extends inwardly of the contact portion and towards an end portion of the side spring beam. Such a configuration of the central spring beam will ensure that the conductive contact has a predetermined robustness thereof while possessing the required spring properties for the stamped contact.

    摘要: A pressure connector according to one embodiment includes an insulative housing (10) with a plurality of spring contact elements (12) received in cavities (100) of the insulative housing. The contact elements have contact ends (122, 124) extending out of the cavities from opposite surfaces of the insulative housing. Each contact element is comprised of one piece wire-like member wrapped to form a helical-shaped loop configuration (126) to be held in one of the cavities, wherein the contact end is electrically connected to the other end by the helical-shaped loop configuration. Thus, with such spring contact, good contact spring with reduced contact inductance can be achieved.

    摘要: A composite electrical contact (1) comprises an elastic wire contact part (20) for electrically connected to the CPU (40) and a separate rigid part (10) for electrically connected to the PCB (50). The elastic wire contact part (20) defines a body portion (21) and a spring arm (22) extending upwardly from the upper end of the body portion (21), the end of the spring arm (22) defines a mating portion (222) for electrically connected to the CPU (40). The separate rigid part (10) defines a base portion (11) connected with the body portion (21) of the elastic wire contact part (20) and a soldering paddle (13) extending downwardly from the lower end of the base portion (11) for electrically connected to the PCB (50). The CPU (40) connects with only the elastic wire contact part (20) and the PCB (50) connects with only the separate rigid part (10) to make a good electrical connection between the CPU (40) and the PCB (50). The separate rigid part (10) can share the force that the CPU (40) exerted on the elastic wire contact part (20), which avoids the elastic wire contact part (20) deformed excessively.

A rigid strip (12), in a substantially wavy, is attached to and configured to surround peripheral walls of the insulative housing. The rigid strip includes a first series of spaced protrusion portions (120) extending above the IC package mating surface so as to define a receiving cavity therebetween for receiving an IC package, and a second series of spaced protrusion portions (122) extending below the substrate mounting surface with at least four spaced protrusion portions around four corners of the insulative housing disposed in a substantially coplanar manner to function as standoffs. Such a configuration and shape of the rigid strip will have the function of reinforcing the insulative housing while not taking up much more “real estate” of the substrate.
