The image interpolation device to prevent aliasing includes an aliased-region detection part to detect a region where aliasing occurs based on the magnitudes and signs of high-frequency components RH, GH, and BH at pixels of n2-times-density R, G, and B images, and an anti-aliasing-processing part to perform an anti-aliasing operation on the detected aliased-region and to restore a captured image of an object from the n2-times-density RGB image having the detected aliased-region. The device can restore an image signal identical to an object image signal from a distorted signal that results from the aliasing. Therefore, the device can enhance the high-frequency components of an image without overshoots and undershoots, can reduce color errors, and can enhance color contrast.
