Abstract: An automatic adjusting device is provided, which is used for adjusting an output power of a power supply and comprises an automatic adjusting circuit. The automatic adjusting circuit includes a comparing unit and a programmable signal generating unit. The comparing unit compares a limiting level and a protection level and produces a comparison signal. The protection level limits the output power provided by the power supply. The programmable signal generating unit generates the protection level and adjusts the protection level according to the comparison signal for adjusting the output power. The programmable signal generating unit will adjust the protection level according to the limiting level. Thereby, the output power can be adjusted automatically without manual adjustment. Consequently, the cost can be reduced and the adjusting accuracy can enhanced.

Abstract: A control circuit for controlling a power supply is revealed. The control circuit is used to generate a switching signal for switching the power supply. The control circuit has a detection terminal for detecting a status of the power supply. A first protection circuit is coupled to the detection terminal and to receive a first detection signal via the detection terminal, and the first protection generates a limit signal in response to the first detection signal, for limiting output of the power supply. A second protection circuit is coupled to the detection terminal and to receive a detection signal via thereto, and the second protection generates a protecting signal, for cutting off the output of the power supply, in response to the first detection signal. A phase dividing circuit is coupled to the detection terminal, the first protection circuit and the second protection circuit, and to generate the first and second detection signal in response to the level of the switching signal, for achieving that two independently adjusted protection circuit are detected by one pin of an integrated circuit (IC) to prevent the IC from increasing of the pin amount. It further reduces the occupied area of the IC.

Abstract: A protection circuit for power supply is disclosed. The power supply includes a power conversion unit having a primary winding and a secondary winding. The primary winding receives an input voltage. The secondary winding is used for generating an output voltage. The protection circuit comprises a first impedance unit coupled to the secondary winding. A loading current of the power supply flows through the first impedance unit. The output voltage is generated at the first impedance unit. A second impedance unit is coupled to the secondary winding and generates a reference voltage. A comparison unit compares the output voltage and the reference voltage to generate a protection signal for turning off the power supply.
