Abstract: A controller, an isolated power converter and a control method are disclosed. The controller includes a primary-side regulator and a secondary-side regulator. The secondary-side regulator includes a secondary-side regulation signal generation module, which receives a feedback signal of an output voltage of the isolated power converter, generates a first control signal and couples the first control signal to the primary-side regulator. The primary-side regulator includes: a PSR module, which receives a voltage signal across a winding of the isolated power converter and generates a second control signal, thereby executing a PSR mode; a follow-up SSR module, which receives the first control signal and generates a third control signal, thereby executing an SSR mode; and a regulation switching module, which allows a switching between the PSR and SSR modes. The present invention allows the follow-up SSR module to enable the SSR mode, which avoids overshooting of the output voltage during startup.

Abstract: A flyback converter, a constant-current control method, and a lighting system are provided. The constant-current control method includes: sampling a loop current in a resonant loop to obtain a first sampling signal; obtaining zero crossing time of an excitation current in the resonant loop; and turning off a first switch tube when the first sampling signal reaches a reference value, and turning off a second switch tube after the zero crossing time of the excitation current in the resonant loop to control an average value of the excitation current to keep constant. The present disclosure can achieve a constant average value of an excitation current in each switching cycle based on a loop current in a resonant loop on the primary side of the converter, thereby realizing constant-current control of an output current of the converter.

Abstract: A load control device may be configured to turn on lighting loads to obtain a fast turn-on time that may be substantially consistent across lighting loads that have different load voltages. The load control device may comprise a power converter circuit configured to produce a voltage across a capacitor, and a control circuit configured to control the power converter circuit to generate the voltage across the capacitor. The control circuit may determine a learned voltage from the magnitude of the voltage across the capacitor. For example, the control circuit may measure the magnitude of the voltage and store the measured voltage as the learned voltage. The control circuit may determine an operating parameter for the power converter circuit as a function of the learned voltage, and control the power converter circuit according to the operating parameter to charge the capacitor until the magnitude of the voltage exceeds a threshold.
