Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods, systems, and apparatus for efficiently reducing carbon footprints in refining systems and petrochemical processing systems. In one aspect, a plastic powder feedstock is blended into a feedstock of a processing system to re-use plastic and reduce carbon footprints. In one implementation, a method of blending plastics into a processing system includes pulverizing a plastic supply to a plastic stock having a granule size that is within a range of 7 nanometers to 10 nanometers. The method includes separating the plastic stock to remove a portion having a granule size that is outside of the range of 7 nanometers to 10 nanometers and generate a plastic feedstock. The method includes blending the plastic feedstock into a feedstock of the processing system to generate a blended feedstock, and processing the blended feedstock.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include methods and apparatus for a shroud that permits efficient installation and removal thereof from a flange of a pipeline. In one embodiment, a shroud is disclosed that includes a cover structure, and a plurality of retaining members coupled to an interior surface of the cover structure. Each of the plurality of retaining members comprises a rectangular arm coupled to a hinge structure, the hinge structure comprising a spring that fixes the rectangular arm in a position that is substantially orthogonal to a plane of the interior surface, wherein the hinge structure allows movement of the rectangular arm in a first direction and temporarily prevents movement of the rectangular arm in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: A system for processing oil and gas at an offshore facility includes a single stage separation module. A gas stream from the single stage separation module is pressurized in a primary compressor, and then is used to heat the incoming oil and gas upstream of the single stage separation module. Flash gas from treatment of an oil stream from the single stage separation module is pressurized in a flash gas compressor and then is used to heat glycol utilized in a gas dehydration unit. The pressurized flash gas is then commingled with the gas stream from the single stage separation module upstream of the primary compressor.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relates to methods of making a hybrid mechanically lined pipe, and apparatus thereof, such as lined pipe used for reeled pipe operations. In one implementation, a method of making a lined pipe for reeled pipe operations includes determining a minimum weld overlay length for a first pipe joint, and providing the first pipe joint. The first pipe joint includes a first end opposite of a second end, a central opening, and an inner surface. The method includes mechanically lining the inner surface of the first pipe joint with a first section of alloy. The method also includes weld overlaying a second section of alloy and a third section of alloy in the central opening and on both sides of the first section of alloy over the minimum weld overlay length to prevent excessive deformation of the mechanically bonded section during reeling operations.

Abstract: A leg mating unit for installation of offshore structures. A housing has a ram movably mounted in the housing. Elastomeric material is received in the housing immediately below the ram. An open space below the elastomeric material is filled with a disposable, granular material such as sand. A drain valve for selectively releasing the disposable material is provided on the housing. A load absorbing ring is engaged with the ram. A stop ring is rigidly mounted on the leg of the topside structure and engages the load absorbing ring during installation of the topside structure onto its lower supporting structure. The housing is removably mounted on the lower support structure such that the leg mating unit is removable and reusable.
