Abstract:
A covercoated transfer sheet for transferring images to a ceramic substrate. The covercoated transfer sheet contains a flat, flexible substrate and a transferable covercoat releaseably bound to the flat, flexible substrate. When the transferable covercoat is printed with an image to form an imaged covercoat, the image has a higher adhesion to the covercoat than the covercoat has to the flexible substrate. The imaged covercoat has an elongation to break of at least about 1 percent, and it can be separated from the flexible substrate with a peel force of less than about 30 grams per centimeter.
Abstract:
An ink-jet printable static cling film including a support, a vinyl film, a curl avoiding polymer layer and a dye-receiving layer, said curl-avoiding polymer layer provides a stiffness (100% modulus) according to ASTM D412-98a of from about 9 to about 34 MPa and a percent (%) elongation according to ASTM D2370-82 of about 250 to 400%.
Abstract:
A heat activatable printable material for the ink-jet printing process comprising a support and a heat-activatable polymer layer. The polymers of the polymer layer is a mixture of nonionic water soluble polyethylene oxide polymers with the general formula H—[—O—CH2—CH2—]nOH, and an aliphatic polyester type polyurethane resin. The polymer layer is ink-jet printed and heat activated to adhere to a substrate with the support remaining on the polymer layer after adhesion of the polymer layer to the substrate.
Abstract:
A printable image transfer material comprising a siliconized support, an adhesive polymer containing layer applied on the support and an image receiving layer arranged on the polymer layer, said adhesive polymer containing layer being substantially free of pigment and cold-peelable from the siliconized support, said image receiving layer comprising solid particles, a binder mixture of a highly elastic, film forming first binder polymer and a second binder polymer or binder polymer mixture that comprises ethylene vinyl acetate and vinyl alcohol units.
