摘要: A thermal transfer sheet includes a transfer layer on a substrate. The transfer layer has one or more layers. The critical shearing stress of the transfer layer is within the range of 0.9×108 N/m2-2×108 N/m2. The transfer layer has a release force of 7.5×10−2 N/cm or less, while the transfer layer is continuously transferred onto a transfer receiving article by use of a thermal printer under conditions including an applied energy of 0.127 mJ/dot and a conveying speed for the thermal transfer sheet of 84.6 mm/sec. The transfer layer transferred onto the transfer receiving article is released from the thermal transfer sheet at a release angle of 50°.

摘要: A thermal transfer paper for printing or digital printing includes a release paper and a thermal transfer layer, wherein the thermal transfer layer is a semitransparent or opaque coating layer in which ink used by a printer or a digital printer is absorbed therein such that a color patterned layer is formed. Accordingly, the thermal transfer paper can be used regardless of the printing method and the kind of ink according to the printing method and allows thermal transferring to be carried out at a temperature of 90-180° C. which is lower than a temperature of 200-280° C. of conventional thermal transfer methods, thereby preventing the deformation of a subject and the emission of toxic gas from the thermal transfer paper so as to be safe for workers.

摘要: The transfer of the invention is prepared by printing a layer onto a carrier substrate with an ink that comprises a mixture of finely subdivided polyethylene powder, an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, a dispersing agent, and an additive material such as a dye or pigment indicia material and/or a physical property enhancing material such as alumina, glass beads, silica, metal flakes, etc. Preferably high and very high molecular weight polyethylene is used, alone or in mixture with lower density polyethylene in amounts from 25 to 45 weight percent in the ink. The printed layer is thermally treated to remove the hydrocarbon solvent resulting in a transfer having a carrier substrate coated with a printed layer consisting essentially of polyethylene and the additive material.
