Abstract:
A process and method for retreading a heavy duty tire with a polyurethane tread where, after a tire carcass is inspected, cleaned and the worn tire tread is removed, the tire carcass receives a tube fitted therein and is installed in a mold cavity, between top and bottom mold rings. The mold rings each include spaced segments that inter-digitate and will form equal spaced tread voids in a finished recapped tire. The bottom mold ring inner edge top includes a continuous sealing lug, and the top ring is open to pass a flow of polyurethane materials, that is received off of a lower edge of a cone shaped spreader positioned onto the tire carcass top side wall and slides, as a sheet, into the mold, filling the mold cavity from bottom to top, forcing air from the mold ahead of the fill and forming the recapped tire tread.
Abstract:
A circuit for detecting a phase error between a clock signal and a beam position includes a beam generator, sensor, and phase detector. The beam generator directs a beam toward a beam sweeper in response to a clock signal. The sensor, which is disposed at a mid line of a region that the beam sweeper scans, detects the beam from the beam sweeper, and the phase detector detects an error in the clock phase from the detected beam. Such a circuit can automatically detect the phase error in the pixel clock and correct this error, thus eliminating the need for a manual phase-error corrector.
Abstract:
A vacuum forming process for manufacturing a transport tire from an elastomeric material that include steps of: in a mold having a cavity or annular area, positioning a transport tire core of plies, belt and beads that has been laid-up on a mandrel. Fitting a cover in sealing engagement over the mold top and fitting a cylindrical canister, that is open at a top end, through the center of the cover and into the mold center and pouring an elastomeric material mixture into the canister that includes a needle valve in its lower end that exhausts into one end of the mold annular area. The cylindrical canister includes a port for connection to a deep vacuum source and the cover includes a port that is for connection to a low level vacuum source, where the deep vacuum is to remove air from the elastomeric material mixture, and, after filling, is open to atmosphere, and the needle valve is opened to the mold annular chamber allowing the mixture to be pulled by the low level vacuum through the mold annular cavity, impregnating the transport tire core maintained therein.
Abstract:
An adjustable mirror frame removably attachable to a computer monitor. The frame has a base attachable to a computer monitor and a mirror frame removably attachable to the base in any one of three positions. The mirror frame may be pivoted about the base to provide a desired picture frame position relative to the base and computer monitor.
Abstract:
A livestock watering system is provided which is adapted to selectively circulate water in a basin in response to temperature differentials of the water in a lower reservoir portion of the basin and an upper drinking portion of the basin utilizing a thermal-siphon phenomenon. The livestock watering system comprises a housing, a basin supported by the housing (the basin being divided into an upper drinking portion and a lower reservoir portion), a flow control valve operably connected to a pressurized water source for maintaining a substantially constant level of water in the basin, a heating element adapted to selectively heat the water in the lower reservoir portion of the basin, and a temperature sensing assembly for sensing the temperature of the water in the basin. The temperature sensing assembly is operably connected to the heating element for selectively activating the heating element between one of an on mode and an off mode in response to the temperature of the water in the basin.
Abstract:
Liquid material is heated within a first predetermined portion of a confined passageway under pressure and temperature conditions whereby the volatile components of the liquid material are maintained below the boiling point for said volatile components. The heated liquid material is continuously passed from said first predetermined portion into and through a second predetermined portion of the confined passageway which is arranged to form a partial restriction to fluid flow. The liquid material is immediately passed from the partial restriction into a third predetermined portion of the confined passageway which is arranged and configured to provide a relatively elongated, narrow passage having a high ratio of surface area to volume of fluid flow and a predetermined configuration to impart a turbulent flow to the liquid material. The pressure and velocity conditions of the fluid flow within the third predetermined portion are maintained at pre-selected levels whereby the volatile components of the liquid material rapidly vaporize in a flashing action as the liquid material passes from the first predetermined portion of the confined passageway through the partial restriction formed by the second predetermined portion of the confined passageway and into the third predetermined portion of the confined passageway whereby the vaporized volatile components form a high velocity vapor flow carrying the liquid material in atomized droplet form.
Abstract:
A system and methods are described for improving the management of ischemic cardiac tissue during acute coronary syndromes or other ischemic conditions. A method and apparatus is described that allows mitigation of oxygen-related injury by precisely modulating the level of oxygen re-exposure during reoxygenation by a controlled feedback loop based on parameters of the tissue measured by a real-time tissue sensor or probe.
Abstract:
An apparatus for retreading a heavy duty tire with a polyurethane tread where a tire carcass that is suitable for retreading receives a tube fitted therein and is installed on its side in a mold cavity, between top and bottom rings, that each include spaced segments extending from opposing top and bottom ring surface that inter-digitate to form the equal spaced tread voids in a finished recapped tire, with bottom ring inner edge including a continuous sealing lug, and the top ring is open to pass a flow of polyurethane materials from a lower edge of a cone shaped spreader that is positioned onto the tire carcass top side wall and directs a flow of polyurethane materials from the cone surface into the mold, filling the mold cavity from bottom to top to form a recapped tire tread.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for retreading a heavy duty tire with a polyurethane tread where, after a tire carcass is inspected for utility and is cleaned, the worn tire tread is removed and the carcass is reinspected to insure its suitability for retreading. The tire carcass, with a tube fitted therein, is installed on its side in a mold cavity, between top and bottom rings, that each include spaced segments extending from opposing top and bottom ring surface, and the segments inter-digitate and form the equal spaced tread voids in a finished recapped tire, and the bottom ring inner edge top includes a continuous lug for sealing against the tire side wall, and the top ring is open to pass a flow of polyurethane materials from a lower edge of a cone shaped spreader that is positioned onto the tire carcass top side wall and receives the flow of polyurethane materials directed onto the cone surface, the materials sliding as a sheet therefrom into the mold, filling the mold cavity from bottom to top, forcing air from the mold ahead of the fill, forming the recapped tire tread.
