    摘要: A crop harvesting header for a self-propelled combine. The header includes a "floating" flexible cutterbar movable vertically relative to the header frame to cut a standing crop (soybeans, for example) close to the ground to minimize crop losses. The cutterbar is connected to a plurality of runner structures pivotally mounted on the header frame. A spring system is operative on the runner structures to resiliently counterbalance the cutterbar. Elongated skids are connected between adjacent pairs of runners to effectively extend along the length of the header. The skids are mounted to permit individual movement of the runners relative to each other as the cutterbar flexes over uneven ground across the harvesting path. The skids are selectively shiftable to vary the cutting height of the cutterbar.The combine includes a hydraulic system for raising and lowering the header. An automatic system raises and lowers the header in response to sensing the position of the cutterbar relative to the header.

    摘要: A multiple finger flow guide for a crop residue spreader including an element disposed in a housing and rotatable in a predetermined direction about an axis for driving a flow of crop residue through a discharge opening or outlet of the housing located at a predetermined angular position around the axis. The flow guide includes at least two elongate fingers, the fingers having proximal ends located adjacent to an upstream end of the discharge opening and the fingers extending from the proximal ends generally circumferentially to an arcuate or circular path of the flow to distal ends located spaced outwardly from the housing and the discharge opening, adjacent ones of the fingers defining spaces therebetween such that a desired portion of the flow will pass through the spaces so as to be spread onto an area of an agricultural field adjacent to the spreader and the remaining portions of the flow will be guided along the fingers so as to be spread over portions of the field a desired distance away from the spreader, such that the crop residue will be distributed evenly over a desired portion of the swath of a combine on which the spreader is used.

    摘要: An axial flow combine having a crop harvesting header including a feeder for cutting a crop and feeding it rearwardly into a threshing and separating mechanism. The mechanism includes a casing for receiving the crop material and a rotor within the casing for threshing and separating grain from the crop material.     摘要: A hydrostatic transmission having a pump and a motor of the radial piston type with each cylinder slipper bearing rotatably supported by a hybrid or combination hydrostatic and hydrodynamic bearing on an internal bearing. The hydrostatic bearing component has a restricted port connecting hydrostatic pressure fluid from the cylinder to supply a distribution recess in the slipper bearing surface for hydrostatic pressure feed of the fluid film providing hydrostatic balancing pressure gradient between the slipper and internal bearing to balance a high percentage of the hydrostatic pressure load and to meet flow requirements for low speed operation. The hydrodynamic bearing component has a low pressure source to spray fluid on the internal bearing, annular dams on each side retaining fluid on the internal bearing, and a taper at the leading edge of the slipper bearing to force fluid into the bearing clearance and provide a hydrodynamic balancing pressure component and fluid flow increasing with speed to balance the centrifugal load and effect balancing of the remaining hydrostatic load and to meet flow requirements which increase with speed. The total hydrostatic and hydrodynamic balancing pressure balances the total load.
