    摘要: A computer-implemented land planning system is designed to generate at least one conceptual fit solution to a user-defined land development problem. The system employs a computer readable medium and a computer program encoded on the medium. The computer program is operable, when executed on a computer, for electronically creating at least one candidate solution to the land development problem. The candidate solution incorporates engineering measurements applicable in development of an undeveloped land site, the land site including a conceptually designed vehicle parking area. A fitness function quantitatively evaluates the candidate solution based on its cost. A heuristic problem-solving strategy manipulates the engineering measurements of the candidate solution to achieve a more quantitatively fit solution to the land development problem. Documentation illustrating the fit solution to the land development problem is delivered to the user.

Preferably, a horizontal transition portion is connected between the hinge pin and the riser rod. With a second embodiment of the invention, which is a combined toilet seat lifter and toilet seat cover lifter apparatus, toilet seat cover lifting means are provided for lifting and lowering a toilet seat cover.

    摘要: A re-refining process is described by which high-quality finished lubricating oils are prepared from used waste lubricating and crankcase oils. The used oils are stripped of water and low-boiling contaminants by vacuum distillation and then dissolved in a solvent of 1-butanol, 2-propanol and methylethyl ketone, which precipitates a sludge containing most of the solid and liquid contaminants, unspent additives, and oxidation products present in the used oil. After separating the purified oil-solvent mixture from the sludge and recovering the solvent for recycling, the purified oil is preferably fractional vacuum-distilled, forming lubricating oil distillate fractions which are then decolorized and deodorized to prepare blending stocks. The blending stocks are blended to obtain a lubricating oil base of appropriate viscosity before being mixed with an appropriate additive package to form the finished lubricating oil product.

    摘要: A bus bar assembly is constructed by arranging a plurality of flat, elongated conductors in stacked alignment, with insulating washers, or the like, acting as spacers therebetween. An insulative, hardenable encapsulant is then poured over the conductors and, not only encapsulates them, but also fills the spacers between them. In a preferred embodiment, each conductor includes a plurality of upwardly extending posts of the type conventionally used for wire wrapping. Each conductor also includes an over-sized opening for each post of every other conductor. The bus bar assembly is manufactured with the aid of a two-part mold having a vertical interface or separation along its length. The mold includes an open topped compartment in which the bus bar assembly is formed. The compartment has a bottom wall with a plurality of aligned, threaded bores extending downwardly, which bores are divided by the vertical separation of the mold. The conductors are assembled inside the mold compartment by consecutively stacking them with insulating washers therebetween. An insulating screw is then passed through aligned bores in the conductors and is threaded into a corresponding bore in the mold bottom wall, thereby securing the conductors in stacked arrangement within the mold. The liquid encapsulant is then poured into the mold compartment and encapsulates the conductors, as well as filling the spaces therebetween and all holes therein. After the encapsulant material has hardened, the mold is separated along its separation, so that the finished bus bar assembly can be removed.

    摘要: Apparatus for introducing an additive into a drilling mud system, which includes a hopper for containing the additive mounted substantially over a flow line for the flow of mud from the system therethrough. The hopper has a funnel-shaped lower portion terminating in a neck connected to the flow line. The neck of the funnel-shaped lower portion has a variable size orifice to control the rate of the flow of additive therethrough. A nozzle is provided in the flow line substantially below the neck for mixing the additive with the mud. A vibrator is provided for vibrating the lower portion of the hopper to encourage movement of the additive toward the neck. An air nozzle is provided for fluidizing the additive.
