摘要: A hook-and-loop fastener has a hook element comprising a substrate having a face from which projects a multiplicity of hooks and a loop element formed by of a fiber web. The fiber web is formed by a homogenous mixture of first multicomponent filaments each formed by a high-melting-point polymer and a low-melting-point polyolefinic polymer and second polyolefinic monocomponent filaments. The first filaments constitute between 20% and 80% by weight of the mixture. The fiber web has a face formed with a patterned array of dense bonded regions of a predetermined small thickness interspersed with less dense open regions of a predetermined big thickness substantially greater than the small thickness of the small thickness interspersed with less dense open regions of a predetermined big thickness substantially greater than the small thickness of the bonded regions so that the filaments of the open regions form loops.

摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for determining whether individuals seeking access to a facility site are authorized to enter. The system identifies a license plate of a vehicle approaching a controlled entrance of the facility site. If the vehicle is found in a database of enrolled entrants, then an enrolled entrant is loaded into a quick access memory. Iris scans of passengers the passengers are taken and compared against records of the enrolled entrants, beginning with the expected passengers identified as being associated with the license of the vehicle approaching the facility site.

摘要: According to one general aspect, an apparatus may include a plurality of voltage boosted circuits. Each voltage boosted circuit may include a power gater configured to select between an array supply voltage and a second voltage, wherein the second supply voltage is greater than the array supply voltage. Each voltage boosted circuit may include may also include a distributed boost capacitor configured to generate, in part, the second supply voltage. Each distributed boost capacitor may be physically located throughout a boosting network. Each voltage boosted circuit may further include a driver configured to generate an electrical signal based upon, as selected by the power-gater, either the array supply voltage or the second supply voltage.

摘要: A method is provided in one example and includes capturing panoramic image data through a first camera in a camera cluster, and capturing close-up image data through a second camera included as part of a spaced array of cameras. The presence of a user in a field of view of the second camera can be detected. The close-up image data and the panoramic image data can be combined to form a combined image. In more specific embodiments, the detecting includes evaluating a distance between the user and the second camera. The combined image can reflect a removal of a portion of panoramic image data associated with the user in a video conferencing environment.

摘要: A method and a device for testing an electronic appliance for determining at least one variable of a system. The electronic appliance is designed in the form of a sensor. The method includes defining an expected minimum and/or maximum value of the variable and producing an electric signal by means of the electronic appliance depending on the variable. The method also includes detecting at least one value of a parameter of the produced electric signal and defining an expected minimum and/or maximum value of the parameter depending on the defined minimum and/or maximum value of the variable of the system. A determination is made, based on whether the detected value of the parameter is greater than the minimum value defined for the parameter and/or smaller than the maximum value, whether there is a malfunction of the electronic appliance provoked by an external electromagnetic interference field.

摘要: A vehicle accessory assembly includes a housing and a vehicle accessory subassembly, including a vehicle accessory and a bezel, installed in the housing. The housing includes a side panel having at least one tab extending from a top of the side panel. The vehicle accessory includes a side wall and a guide rib extending from the side wall in a direction away from a center of the accessory. The guide rib includes a guide portion. A guide angle between the guide portion and the side wall is less than about 90°. The bezel includes a snap portion. As the vehicle accessory subassembly is installed on the housing, the tab of the side panel engages the guide portion of the guide rib such that the guide portion of the guide rib guides the tab over an outboard side of the snap portion into engagement with the receiving slot of the bezel.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for detecting impurities in a gas tank having a predefined tank nominal volume, which method includes at least one of the following steps: (a) determining a theoretical pressure drop in the gas tank from a quantity of gas which is actually extracted, and comparing said theoretical pressure drop with a measured pressure drop in the gas tank, wherein a higher measured pressure drop indicates the presence of impurities; and (b) determining a gas volume which is theoretically present in the gas tank from the measured pressure and measured temperature in the gas tank, and comparing the gas volume which is theoretically present in the gas tank with the tank nominal volume in order to determine a volume taken up by impurities which are present.
