Abstract:
An adaptor band is flexible, C-shaped, and includes a torsion spring receiver. Additionally, the adaptor band includes one or more slots for receiving a screw to fasten the adaptor band to an internal surface of a pre-existing light housing. The adaptor band is compressed and inserted within the pre-existing housing that does not have torsion spring receivers already therein. Once inserted, the adaptor band is released, thereby expanding and pushing against the internal surface of the housing. The adaptor band is fastened to the internal surface of the housing without having to hold the adaptor band in a fixed position. The torsion spring receivers receive torsion springs coupled to other lighting components, including light modules and trim modules.

Abstract:
A lifting device that can effectively lift a variety of objects and enhance portability. The lifting device provides demountable portability that enables easy adaptation of the invention for objects of varying size. This adaptability provides a universality that minimizes the number of lifting devices need. The demountable nature of the invention also aids in efficient storage. Generally described, the lifting device includes a mast separable into a plurality of sections and a pulley supported by a first section of the mast. A dolly that supports the mast includes one or more transport structures for movably supporting the lifting device. An actuator is mounted on a second section of the mast. A carriage captured on the mast is configured to slide along the mast and directly or indirectly support an object to be lifted. The lifting device also includes a belt with a first end and a second end. The first end attaches to the carriage and the second end attaches to the actuator so that the belt extends over the pulley. The actuator selectively reels the belt in and out when the belt is positioned over the pulley. This causes the carriage to move up and down along the mast. The belt is removable from the pulley. The first section of the mast is removable from the second section of the mast when the belt is removed from the pulley. This provides the lift with demountable portability.
Abstract:
A light emitting diode (LED) driver case includes a housing, driver circuitry, an recessed area in the housing, and a luminaire disconnect. The luminaire disconnect is coupled to the recessed area in the housing and extends toward an aperture in a top plate of a LED module. The luminaire disconnect can be fixedly or removably coupled to the recessed area in the housing. When the luminaire disconnect is removably coupled to the recessed area, one or more of a number of retaining features can be used to prevent the luminaire disconnect from moving or to limit the movement of the luminaire disconnect.

Abstract:
A light emitting diode (LED) lighting system includes an enclosure, a trim, and at least one attachment mechanism. The enclosure can include at least one heat-generating device and an enclosure collar, where the enclosure is made of a first thermally conductive material. The trim can include a trim collar and at least one wall that defines a passage, where the trim collar abuts the enclosure collar, and where the passage has a reflector and a LED is disposed therein. The least one attachment mechanism can removably couple the trim collar to the enclosure collar, where the at least one attachment mechanism includes a back plate that is mechanically coupled to an upper flange and a lower flange, where the upper flange contacts the enclosure collar and the lower flange contacts the trim collar.
Abstract:
A light emitting diode (LED) lighting system includes a primary enclosure and a secondary enclosure. The primary enclosure can include a fastening feature of a secondary enclosure receiver that is positioned adjacent to an aperture in the primary enclosure. The secondary enclosure can include a corresponding fastening feature that mechanically couples to the fastening feature of the primary enclosure, where the secondary enclosure surrounds the aperture when the secondary enclosure is mechanically coupled to the primary enclosure. The secondary enclosure can further include a passage through which a wire that traverses the aperture in the primary enclosure passes.
