    Abstract: In a strap-band type connecting device (1), a strap band (3) has an array of teeth (8), each of which forms a bridged brace (10) between the neighboring slits (8a) to make a helical thread (9a) engage with the bridged brace (10) when a rod screw (9) is brought at the helical thread (9a) into engagement with the slits (8a) within a housing (4). The bridged brace (10) is curvedly deformed to provide a width-reduced groove (10a) in its lengthwise direction (P) so as to form a cross piece segment (11, 13), a geometrical moment of inertia of which increases along a circumferential direction (R) of the strap band (3) with a sufficient rigidity provided to resist against a bending force from the helical thread (9a) upon rotationally operating the rod screw (9).

    Abstract: An adaptor band is flexible, C-shaped, and includes a torsion spring receiver. Additionally, the adaptor band includes one or more slots for receiving a screw to fasten the adaptor band to an internal surface of a pre-existing light housing. The adaptor band is compressed and inserted within the pre-existing housing that does not have torsion spring receivers already therein. Once inserted, the adaptor band is released, thereby expanding and pushing against the internal surface of the housing. The adaptor band is fastened to the internal surface of the housing without having to hold the adaptor band in a fixed position. The torsion spring receivers receive torsion springs coupled to other lighting components, including light modules and trim modules.

    Abstract: A clamping device is disclosed of band material and including an adjustment device similar to a conventional hose clamp however having a variable accessibility achieved by a drive screw being orientable perpendicular to the conventional drive screw and parallel to the axis of the gripping aperture. The perpendicular drive screw can include a locking tip at the opposite end from the head thereof to facilitate securement within the housing of the adjustment device to facilitate retaining of the screw herein or facilitate removal of the screw therefrom selectively. The housing may include a single or double aperture to facilitate driving of the screw in the opposite direction for tightening or loosening selectively by positioning of the screw.
