摘要： A stairway for use in an opening formed between an attic and a floor below comprises a frame adapted to fixedly engage the opening and a plurality of stairway sections operatively coupled to the frame. The stairway sections each have a pair of rails and a plurality of steps coupled between the respective rails. The rails further comprise respective upper and lower edge surfaces having corresponding shapes to permit nesting engagement of the stairway sections on top of each other and relative parallel movement of the stairway sections with respect to each other. Successive ones of the stairway sections are operatively coupled to each other such that they remain nested while being moved relative to each other. Upon reaching an extent of travel relative to each other, orientation of the successive ones of the stairway sections changes to a substantially contiguous and axially aligned structure in which the successive stairway sections are linked end-to-end to provide a continuous stairway. One or more locking pins may be adapted to lock the successive stairway sections in an end-to-end configuration.

The trolley further includes a drive system that controls the movement of a plurality of lift tethers that are coupled to the platform. The platform is raised by withdrawing the lift tethers, and is lowered by paying out the lift tethers. The ladder further includes a track that provides a guide for movement of a lift platform.

摘要： A platform lift apparatus enables the safe movement of objects to and from an attic storage space. The platform lift apparatus includes a frame, a drive mechanism, and a platform. The frame includes internal and external mounting surfaces. The drive mechanism is substantially disposed within the frame and is coupled to the internal mounting surfaces. The drive mechanism includes a plurality of rotatable, parallel shafts with each shaft further including at least one lift drum having an associated lift tether at least partially wound thereon and having an end hanging therefrom. The platform is coupled to each lift tether end and is thereby suspended from the frame. The platform is selectively movable by operation of the drive mechanism within in a vertical dimension between raised and lowered positions. The drive mechanism further comprises an electric motor operatively coupled to the plurality of parallel shafts.

摘要： A game table deployment system comprises a housing adapted to be mounted to a ceiling of a room, the housing including an opening facing downward into the room, a lift mechanism contained in the housing, and a game table operatively coupled to the lift mechanism. The game table is movable by operation of the lift mechanism between a stowed position in which the game table is substantially contained within the opening of the housing and a deployed position in which the game table is deployed for use within the room. The housing may include at least one door adapted to at least partially enclose the opening. The door may further include at least one electric light oriented to provide light onto the game table below when in the deployed position and the at least one door is opened. The lift mechanism may further comprise a motor and a plurality of cables operatively driven by the motor, the game table being coupled to respective ends of the plurality of cables. The plurality of cables may further comprise fasteners enabling selective coupling to and uncoupling from engagement with the game table. The game table may further comprise at least one folding leg. The game table may be a pool table, a ping pong table, a foosball table, a card table, a gaming table, and the like.
