摘要： Disclosed is a step assembly for use in climbing a utility structure. The step assembly comprises a rod member and a plate member. The rod member comprises a generally L-shaped rod, a shoulder formed contiguously to the generally L-shaped rod, and an arm pivotably coupled to the shoulder by a pin. The plate member comprises a duct having a longitudinally formed internal passage, and a support plate attached at one end portion of the duct and formed transversally to the duct, wherein the internal passage of the duct contiguously provides an opening in the support plate at the one end portion. The aligned shoulder and arm are configured to pass through the internal passage.

摘要： A fence ladder includes a front section and a rear section for straddling a wire fence. Each section is formed of a pair of risers with a plurality of ladder rungs perpendicularly disposed therebetween. The upper ends of the two sections are joined with a hinge having a post receiver depending therefrom. The receiver includes a cylindrical shell having a plurality of peripheral notches that are each positioned, spaced and dimensioned to receive the outwardly-extending flanges found on a typical T-post. A pair of releasable locks fix the two sections about a fence to prevent separation and shifting.

摘要： A sectional overhead ladder with a fold assist feature for controlling the extension of the sectional overhead ladder. The fold assist feature of the sectional overhead ladder limits the possibility of free extension of the extendable overhead ladder by preventing gravitational forces from causing the ladder sections to fall into their extended configuration. The sectional overhead ladder includes generally a stair structure and an extendable dampening system. The extendable dampening system is comprised of a dampener and, optionally, a housing. The stair structure includes a first section and a second section. The dampening system is attached to the first and second sections of the stair structure such that the dampener limits the free extension of the stair structure and assists with the collapse of the stair structure.

摘要： An integrated insulated housing system with handrails and a system of seals for a pull down stairway opening is provided. The integrated housing system reduces air convection, moisture loss and dirt infiltration. The insulation of the housing system reduces heat loss. Handrails as part of the system are deployed by the action of the pull down stairway. No manual intervention is required. As the stairway is pulled down for use, the integrated housing above moves away from the access opening. Simultaneously, the two integrated handrails move into a stable position on the upper floor and to either side of the stairway. As the stairway is returned up to its closed position, the connected insulated housing moves back into position sealing the access opening.

摘要： A compression anchor for holding a support member, such as a cylindrical handrail, is disclosed. The anchor includes a body having a cavity and a wedge portion that connects to the body using thick threads, such as 2-4 ACME 2-G threads. The wedge is substantially cylindrical and encircles a support member received in the cavity. A compression ring is in contact with the body and the wedge portion. As the wedge portion turns relative to the body using the threads, the compression ring expands and contracts to loosen or tighten the connection between the received support member and the anchor. The wedge portion and the body are corrosion resistant.

The rack step tool generally includes a step member which is attached to a base plate.
