    摘要: A method of and apparatus for producing electricity, hydrogen gas, oxygen gas, pure water using a geothermal heat are disclosed. A low voltage (such as less than 0.9V) is applied to a prepared solution containing hydrogen generating catalysts to generate hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen and oxygen are used to drive a gas turbine to generate electricity. The oxygen and hydrogen are combusted to generate heat and pure water. This process is advantageous in many aspects including desalinating salt/sea water using geothermal heat.

    摘要: An emulsion comprising:(A) a discontinuous phase; (B) a continuous organic phase; and (C) an emulsifying amount of at least one nitrogen and transition metal containing composition derived from hydrocarbon substituted polycarboxylic acids or functional equivalent thereof, selected from the group consisting of (C-1) amide and imide derivatives of transition metal salts, (C-2) transition metal complexes of non-acidic acylated nitrogen compounds, and (C-3) a mixture of acylated nitrogen compounds and transition metal salts. In one particular embodiment, the invention relates to explosive emulsions wherein (A) is a discontinuous oxidizer phase comprising at least one oxygen-supplying component and (B) is a continuous organic phase which comprises at least one carbonaceous fuel. In another embodiment, the discontinuous phase (A) is a discontinuous aqueous phase.

    摘要: The invention provides an amphiphilic compound suitable for oil-in-water systems. The amphiphilic compound contains: (a) a lipophilic component that is hydrocarbon group containing about 20 or more carbon atoms; (b) a hydrophilic component selected from (i) a monomer or an oligomer of an oxyalkylene group containing 2 or more carbon atoms; (ii) a monomer or an oligomer of an oxyalkylene group containing 3 or more carbon atoms; (iii) an oligiomer containing: (1) an oxyalkylene group containing 3 or more carbon atoms; (2) an oxyalkylene group containing 2 or more carbon atoms, provided component (2) is different from component (1); (iv) a hydrocarbyl substituted hydroxyamino group; (v) a polyhydric alcohol group; and (vi) a polyamino group; and (c) a linker covalently bonding the hydrophilic component and the lipophilic component, wherein the hydrophilic component is present in an amount sufficient to at least partially disperse the amphiphilic compound in water. The invention further provides a method of preparing the amphiphilic compound.
