    Abstract: This disclosure concerns a plant of the genus, Brassica, or parts thereof, which comprise one or more traits selected from the group consisting of high oleic acid content, low linolenic acid content, increased herbicide resistance, restorer of cytoplasmic male sterility, and increased clubroot disease (Plasmodiophora brassicae) resistance, compared to a wild-type plant of the same species. This disclosure further relates to wild-type and mutant alleles of genes involved in these traits, molecular markers linked thereto, and methods of their use.

    Abstract: A flexible two-wheeled self-balancing robot system and its motion control method include a main controller 1, a motion controller 2, an assistant controller 3, two servo drivers 4, sensors, input/output devices, two DC motors 5 and a power supply system; a camera is installed on truck's top board 11, a tilt-meter and a gyro are installed both in truck 6 and chassis 8. Truck 6 and chassis 8 are connected with an elastic joint in which is installed a two-arm torsion spring and a cylindrical spring; the main controller 1 is connected to the motion controller 2, the assistant controller 3 and input/output devices. The user commands received by the main controller 1 are immediate commands or stored commands; through main controller 1 running the motion behavior decision algorithm, the motion controller 2 running the motion balancing control algorithm, and the servo drives 4 controlling the torques of the motors 5, locomotion on plane and remote control of the robot can be implemented.

    Abstract: An auto-commissioning system provides automatic parameter selection for an intelligent video system based on target video provided by the intelligent video system. The auto-commissioning system extracts visual feature descriptors from the target video and provides the one or more visual feature descriptors associated with the received target video to an parameter database that is comprised of a plurality of entries, each entry including a set of one or more stored visual feature descriptors and associated parameters tailored for the set of stored visual feature descriptors. A search of the parameter database locates one or more best matches between the extracted visual feature descriptors and the stored visual feature descriptors. The parameters associated with the best matches are returned as part of the search and used to commission the intelligent video system.

    Abstract: A video enhancement system provides automatic enhancement to video data that includes the presence of obscurations. The system provides near-field enhancement of the video data by detecting the presence of near-field obscurations such as snowflakes/raindrops and determining whether the detected obscurations are located over background pixels or foreground objects. The detected obscuration pixels are filled-in depending on whether they are located over the background or foreground to create an enhanced image. The system may also provide local/global adaptive contrast enhancement to enhance video in the presence of far-field obscurations.
