Abstract: A method for displaying virtual content to a user, the method includes determining an accommodation of the user's eyes. The method also includes delivering, through a first waveguide of a stack of waveguides, light rays having a first wavefront curvature based at least in part on the determined accommodation, wherein the first wavefront curvature corresponds to a focal distance of the determined accommodation. The method further includes delivering, through a second waveguide of the stack of waveguides, light rays having a second wavefront curvature, the second wavefront curvature associated with a predetermined margin of the focal distance of the determined accommodation.

Abstract: A system and method for stabilizing video using a census kernel having test points. A subset form a connected circle centered on the kernel's center point. For each candidate pixel, a signature is calculated based on the relative brightness of the candidate pixel and of the pixels corresponding to test points when the kernel overlays the image with the center point over the candidate pixel. A candidate pixel is designated to be a corner pixel by processing the signature to determine that the candidate pixel is significantly brighter or darker than the test point pixels. For each corner pixel, a corresponding pixel in the previous frame is identified by comparing the signature of the corner pixel with signatures of pixels in the previous frame, and a corresponding motion vector is established. A motion model is calculated based on the motion vectors and applied to the digital frame.

The system may comprise an image-generating source to provide one or more frames of image data in a time-sequential manner, a light modulator configured to transmit light associated with the one or more frames of image data, a substrate to direct image information to a user's eye, wherein the substrate houses a plurality of reflectors, a first reflector of the plurality of reflectors to reflect transmitted light associated with a first frame of image data at a first angle to the user's eye, and a second reflector to reflect transmitted light associated with a second frame of the image data at a second angle to the user's eye.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a contrast adaptive video denoising system, which comprises a frame memory for buffering the filtered frame; an inter-frame difference calculating module for inter-frame difference of the current input frame of the video and a previous filtered frame in the frame memory; a contrast calculating module for calculating the local contrast of the current input frame and inputting it into a low-contrast region detection module, a calculated low-contrast region confidence together with the inter-frame difference are input into a motion detection module to calculate the motion probability for each pixel. The motion adaptive temporal filtering module performs motion adaptive temporal filtering by using the current input frame of the video and the previous filtered frame in the frame memory as well as the motion probability of each pixel, and finally outputs the current filtered frame to store in the frame memory. Said system can solve the problems of motion tailing and blurring caused by conventional video denoising systems when processing low-contrast motion videos.
