    摘要： An apparatus and method for measuring a velocity of a moving object in a navigation system are provided, which can increase an accuracy of velocity measurement and position estimation of the moving object are provided. The apparatus includes a sensor part including an acceleration sensor for measuring acceleration of the moving object and outputting a corresponding acceleration measurement value, and includes an altimeter for measuring an altitude of the moving object and outputting a corresponding altitude measurement value; and a calculation part for calculating the velocity of the moving object by using the acceleration measurement value output from the acceleration sensor and the altitude measurement value output from the altimeter.

A method of a mobile communication terminal for a traffic information service is provided. The method includes constructing a cluster with at least one neighboring Mobile Station (MS), receiving traffic information from the at least one neighboring MS comprised in the cluster, measuring traffic information using location information of the MS, and transmitting a traffic information message comprising the collected traffic information to a traffic information provision server.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for determining a location of a movement distance measuring apparatus are provided. The apparatus and method determine whether the movement distance measuring apparatus is mounted at the waist of a pedestrian or is located in a pocket and uses a different step length estimation algorithm, e.g. a different step length estimation parameter coefficient, corresponding to the determined mounting position. The determination of whether the movement distance measuring apparatus is mounted to the waist of a pedestrian or is located in a pocket is performed on the basis of a gyro sensor.

    摘要： A positioning system using a mobile Internet signal is disclosed. The positioning system includes access points for transmitting downlink signals for mobile Internet communications, an access terminal for generating positioning information using the downlink signals received from the access points and access point information on the access points, and a position determination entity (PDE) for calculating range values between the access terminal and the access points using the positioning information from the access terminal and determining a position of the access terminal using the range values. Since the positioning system determines the position using the mobile Internet signal, an accurate terminal position can be determined even in such environments as downtown, shaded and indoor areas.
