Abstract:
Apparatus and method are disclosed for thermally managing a display. A display may be tiltably coupled to a base, and the display may have a tilt sensor disposed therein for providing a tilt output when the display is tilted beyond a tilt threshold. Further aspects include a temperature sensors disposed for providing a high- or low-temperature threshold output when the display the exceeds predetermined temperature thresholds. The disclosure provides for producing a warning signal to the user when sensed signals are positive, and for producing a sleep signal to protect the display from thermal damage.
Abstract:
The disclosed system is directed towards a high storage volume support system. The high storage volume support system includes an arched beam having a first end and a second end and a first base coupled to the first end. The high storage volume support system includes a second base coupled to the second end and a storage volume formed by the arched beam, the first base and the second base.
Abstract:
The disclosed system is directed towards a multi-hinge. The multi-hinge comprises a body including a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end defines a beam axis of rotation and the second end defines a bracket axis of rotation. A bracket coupling is rotatably coupled to the second end of the body along the bracket axis of rotation. The bracket coupling includes a rotary section rotatably coupled to the second end of the body along the bracket axis and a mounting section disposed coaxially with and rotatably coupled to the rotary section. The multi-hinge includes a base rotatably coupled to the first end of the body about the beam axis of rotation. The multi-hinge further includes a moment arm pivotally coupled to the base at a radial distance from the beam axis and pivotally coupled to the rotary section of the bracket coupling at the radial distance from the bracket axis. The multi-hinge includes a torsional preloading member coupled between the body and the base.
Abstract:
An apparatus for mounting an accessory to a flat panel monitor is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an arm nestably mounted in an aperture in the flat panel monitor. The arm is extendable between a nested position and an extended position. The arm is also adapted to pivot in the extended position.
Abstract:
The disclosed system is directed towards a universal support system. The universal support system comprises a pair of arched bases and an arched beam coupled to the pair of arched bases. The universal support system also includes a multi-hinge rotatably coupled to the arched beam and a mounting bracket rotatably coupled to the multi-hinge, wherein the mounting bracket conforms with a mounting bracket standard for mounting displays.
