    摘要: A system and method is provided for automatically priming a fuel system by bleeding/purging air or vapor therefrom. The system includes a bleed valve configured to automatically move between three positions in response to the pressure of the fuel in the system. When fuel pressure is in a first pressure range, the bleed valve automatically moves to a first-closed position for preventing fuel from draining to the fuel tank and thereby drawing air into the fuel system. When the fuel pressure moves to a second, higher pressure range, the bleed valve automatically moves to an open position for bleeding air out of the fuel system and into the tank, thereby priming the fuel system. When the fuel pressure moves to a third, still higher pressure range, the bleed valve automatically moves to a second-closed position so as to not interfere with the regulation of the pressure regulating valve.

    摘要: The invention pertains to apparatus for sensing the motion of endless conveyors. A housing, on which a traction wheel having a high friction periphery is rotatably mounted, is located adjacent the moving conveyor member to be sensed, and the housing includes an open end through which a portion of the wheel periphery extends for engagement with the moving member. The wheel rotates a shaft which is belted to the input shaft of a motion sensor, preferably of the electrical type, mounted upon the housing. In one embodiment of the invention the traction wheel is adjustably mounted upon the housing whereby adjustment of the wheel to the moving member is facilitated. In another embodiment the wheel housing is of an elongated configuration utilizing a mounting bracket which may be affixed to the housing at the desired position to accommodate the dimensions of the particular installation.

    摘要: Extracting device for extracting a DIP from a DIP header comprises a normally flat member which is positioned between the opposed surfaces of the DIP and the DIP header. The flat member has movable portions which are arcuately movable away from the surface of the DIP header. The movable portions have projecting sections which extend beyond the DIP header. The projecting sections have integral levers which can be manipulated to cause the movable sections to move arcuately along axes which extend parallel to the DIP header. As the movable portions swing upwardly and away from the header, they extract the DIP leads from the terminals in the header.

    摘要: A traction wheel motion sensor for endless conveyors which is self-cleaning of foreign matter that may enter the traction wheel housing and is spring biased toward the associated conveyor. A traction wheel housing located adjacent a moving conveyor engages the conveyor for sensing the rate of linear displacement thereof, and the wheel drives motion sensing apparatus through a belt. The housing includes a bottom surface which is obliquely oriented to the horizontal wherein foreign matter entering the housing is automatically discharged therefrom and further, the traction wheel is mounted upon apparatus biased toward the conveyor by spring means wherein the traction wheel maintains an operative driven relationship with the conveyor during conveyor operation.

    摘要: The cut laminate edges of aircraft fuel tanks formed of carbon fiber reinforced polymers are sealed to prevent the exposure of carbon fibers to combustible fuel. The edge seal is produced from a prepreg form using a thermosetting resin matched to the characteristics of the resin used in the laminate. The prepreg form can be applied to the cut laminate edges either before or after the laminate is cured. The edge seal acts a dielectric layer that both electrically insulates the cut laminate edges from the fuel and mechanically contains energetic particles produced at the edges due to lighting strikes or other sources of electrical charges.
