摘要: A technique is provided or integrating system design, sales, and manufacturing functions. Systems including networked and programmable electrical components, such as motor control centers, and other electrical power control arrangements are designed, and a database is created for the design, including component and system designation data. The database may further include configuration information, settings, and so forth. The database is used as a tool in establishing a sales solicitation proposal from which sales of the system are offered. The same database is then used to program the various components of the system, such as through a temporary network link or via a permanent data network once the system is assembled.

摘要: A technique is provided for communicating between networks and devices operating in accordance with different network protocols, and for performing logical operations on some or all of the data received and transmitted in accordance with either protocol. Where logic is enabled in a bridge/PLC, and where data is bound or affected by the logic, logical operations may be performed and data stored in a memory module or transmitted to one or another of the networks or devices in accordance with either protocol. Where data is not bound or logic is not enabled, the device may serve as a simple protocol bridge receiving input in one or both protocols, and producing output in accordance with either protocol.

摘要: Temperature is controlled in a hydrogenation reactor without changing the flow rate of feed into the reactor to maintain a pre-determined temperature in the reactor. In one embodiment, the firing rate of a fuel fired furnace for heating feed to the reactor is controlled in response to the temperature sensed in the reactor to maintain a pre-determined temperature. In another embodiment, the flow rate of a quenching stream for cooling feed to the reactor is controlled in response to temperature sensed in the reactor to maintain a pre-determined temperature in the reactor.

摘要: Unreacted hydrogen contained in the gaseous effluent from a high pressure hydrogenation process is reduced in pressure, followed by purification of the hydrogen at the lower pressure, and recompression to a high pressure for use in a hydrogenation process. Liquid effluent is also reduced in pressure, hydrogen stripped therefrom, and combined with the recovered hydrogen gas at the lower pressure for purification.

摘要: A stamp (1) is disclosed which has a luminescent coating (9, 11) which over the area of the coating is such that there are a plurality of coated spaced regions interspersed with non-coated regions. The coating may be applied as a grid or cross hatching or other suitable arrangement. The coating is applied over an area which is of sufficient size relative to the thickness and density of the coating to permit the coating to be detected by a postage stamp luminescence detection device. The non-coated regions over which the coating extends being of sufficient area to permit penetration and drying of a stamp cancelling ink. A method of producing such stamp is also disclosed.

摘要: A system for automatically configuring I/O devices is provided in accordance with the present invention. The system includes a plurality of I/O devices operatively coupled to each other and a sub-system for determining physical locations of the I/O devices with respect to one another. The sub-system assigns node addresses to each I/O device—each assigned node address corresponds to the physical location of the respective I/O devices.
