摘要： A method and apparatus for storing and retrieving images of documents, e.g. checks. The method comprises placing a plurality of documents in a document imaging machine and forming an electronic image of each document, storing each electronic image in an electronic storage device, providing at least one user interface device in communication on a communication link with the electronic storage device, placing a request for at least one document image on the user interface device, transmitting the request by the communication link to the electronic storage device, searching the electronic storage device for the requested electronic image of the document, retrieving the at least one electronic image or providing an indication that the image was not found, storing the electronic image, if found, in an electronic file, for transmission to the user interface device at user option, providing the electronic image to the user interface device at command of a user at the user interface device for storage at the user interface device and displaying the requested electronic image on a display of the user interface device. Preferably, the electronic; images are stored with embedded identifying information in a TIFF file format and the check images can be displayed on a display device which permits the user to view both sides of the checks simultaneously and perform functions such as zooming and rotation of the images.

摘要： A vandal resistant, remotely programmable voice communications unit is capable of being programmed for automatically calling predetermined telephone numbers. The unit is programmed remotely from any touch-tone telephone. A vandal-resistant push-button actuator employs first and second axially spaced apart, slidable seals on a push-button mounted within a housing. The seals absorb transverse blows to a raised portion of the push-button and a lubricant is disposed between the seals to prevent an adhesive inserted by a vandal from disabling the actuator. A speaker and microphone baffle utilizes offset passageways to inhibit the introduction of a pointed object therethrough to prevent damage to the speaker or microphone. A raised push-button actuator is disposed inwardly of an escutcheon and shaped to form a concave, ring-shaped surface therewith, thus to inhibit damage to the inner surface of the escutcheon from a hammer blow. A vandal-resistant pole mounting device clamps about the pole and is fastened by means of a fastener enclosed within a vandal-resistant housing, thus to prevent tampering with the fastener by a vandal in order to prevent removal of the housing and the mounting device from the pole.

摘要： A vandal-resistant telephone communications station having a one-piece face plate enclosure with a speaker phone aperture and a plurality of additional apertures therein. A plurality of call push-buttons and an answer push-button are respectively carried in the additional apertures. These buttons are of unique construction and are provided with resilient seals to prevent the insertion of foreign matter around the button, and each button is spring biased to its inoperative position. The call push-buttons control automatic signalling units within the face plate enclosure, and these units automatically generate an output signal at the location being called only during the time the push-button is held in its operative position. The answer push-button operates in similar fashion and is used to respond to an incoming call.

摘要： A vandal-resistant push-button actuator which may be utilized in a vandal resistant, remotely programmable voice communications unit capable of being programmed for automatically calling predetermined telephone numbers. The vandal-resistant push-button actuator employs a push-button, a push-button mounting device having a passageway therein for slidably receiving the push-button, and first and second axially spaced apart seals between the push-button and the passageway. The seals absorb transverse blows to a raised portion of the push-button and a lubricant may be disposed between the seals to prevent an adhesive inserted by a vandal from disabling the actuator. The raised push-button actuator may be disposed inwardly of an escutcheon and shaped to form a concave, ring-shaped surface therewith, thus to inhibit damage to the inner surface of the escutcheon from a hammer blow.
