摘要: An active sonar detection system may include a transmitter, which may project into the transmissive medium signals of any frequency, amplitude or phase using one or more transducers. A transmit beamformer to provide transmission directionality may also be included. Generated transmit waveforms may have different temporal and frequency spectra that are adapted for different purposes. Such purposes may include, individually or in combination: detection of stationary or moving objects and surfaces and the ability to describe, classify and/or localize them; the ability to interrogate the environment for its reverberation and propagation features and/or to discern fronts and eddies; the ability to mislead third parties and their apparatuses either by making the transmitted signal unobtrusive, or provide for stealth operations by making the signals appear to be radiating from a source other than the one from which the signals are actually radiating, or by giving the signals or an object, such as a submarine, the appearance of having a purpose other than that for which they are actually intended.

摘要: A method for imposing and rendering image data. The method formatting the image data for a surface of a media sheet in an output device space and including receiving one or more page description files defining one or more objects to be located on the surface of the media sheet, receiving a job ticket defining a layout of the objects on the surface in a sheet-defined space. Prior to ripping, the layout of the objects is transformed into output device space including rotation or translation of the objects. The objects are ripped creating raster data that is oriented in output device space. The raster data is blitted in blocks without shifting the raster data.

摘要: A system for measuring the speed in water of an underwater towed array has towbody connected in close proximity to the array by means of a rope drogue. The towbody has a freely turning propeller that turns a shaft that has a rotor magnet. Magnetic pulses from the rotor magnet are converted first to an electrical and then to an acoustical signal. The acoustical signal from the towbody is received by the towed array and converted back to an electrical signal that is transmitted along a line to a ship that is towing the array. The ship then displays the detected speed and/or utilizes the information received for control purposes.

摘要: A door sill has a plastic, or other water impervious, plank fastened on its underside. The bottom of the plank seats against the subfloor of a building. The ends of the plank protrude beyond the rest of the sill, forming short flanges under the lower ends of the attached door jambs. The jambs are fastened to the sill, and the flanges are fastened to the jambs, by nails, screws or staples. The plank is water impervious, thereby preventing rot of the jambs by water wicking up to, and into, the jambs. The plank also raises the sill, and therefore the entire door frame, up by the thickness of the plank, which keeps the bottom of the door from scraping against the upper surface of a finish floor material, such as carpet.
