    摘要: A screening device (e.g. screen plate or screen cylinder) is manufactured relatively inexpensively and easily yet has uniform screening openings (e.g. screening slots) even when of a width of less than 0.5 mm. A plurality of wires having first and second sections (the second sections having base portions and of smaller cross-section than the first sections) are mounted substantially parallel to each other, supported by at least one support bar or ring. The bars or rings have slots formed in a first side surface, and a cavity in open communication with the slots in a second side surface. The wires are fixed to the bars or rings by deforming the wires (e.g. by bending a flap, engagement by a reciprocating tool, welding, etc.) within the cavity, or by deformation of the support bar or ring in the cavity. The screen plate or cylinder is preferably used to screen or otherwise treat a cellulose pulp suspension, e.g. by subjecting the first sections of the wires to a flow of pulp with accepts passing through the screening openings.

    摘要: A method and system for managing data (i.e., objects) that are shared by multiple instances of a shared application program. A shared application program is an application program that is executing simultaneously on multiple computers and that has a copy of data that is being shared by each instance of the application program. In particular, each computer maintains a copy of the shared data. When an instance of the application program modifies the shared data, the modifications are sent to the other computers. Each of these other computers stores the data in its copy of the shared data, and each instance of the application program updates its user interface to reflect the modifications to the shared data. Thus, the users of the shared application program can cooperatively modify and view the shared data. For example, multiple users can be executing a word processing program on their computer and sharing a common document. As one user changes the document, the word processing program updates its copy of the shared data. The changes are then transmitted to the other computers so that their copy of the shared data can be updated. In particular, an object management (OM) system is provided that enables shared application programs to manage their copy of the shared data. Each computer has a copy of the OM system. The OM system, under the direction of the shared application program, manages the adding, deleting, and modifying of the shared data. The OM system also controls the transmitting of modifications to the copy of the shared data to the other computers.

    摘要: Systems and methods for automatically modifying an annotated bilingual segment pair are provided. An annotated bilingual segment pair (“Pair”) may be modified to generate improved translation rules used in machine translation of documents from a source language to a target language. Because a single Pair may be used to translate a phrase, many Pairs are used in a machine translation system and manual correction of each model is impractical. Each Pair may be modified by re-labeling syntactic categories within the Pair, re-structuring a tree within the Pair, and/or re-aligning source words to target words within the Pair. In exemplary embodiments, many alternate Pairs (or portions thereof) are generated automatically, rule sequences corresponding to each are derived, and one or more rule sequences are selected. Using the selected rule sequence, a modified Pair is distilled.
