摘要： A system and method of occluding a reproductive body lumen (34) to prevent the passage of reproductive cells through body lumen is disclosed. The system can include a catheter delivery system (10) having a handle device (18), a catheter (10) operatively coupled with the handle device (20), and an occluding device adapted for deployment within the body lumen. The handle device can include a damper device adapted to reduce the vibration on the handle device from deployment of the occluding device from the catheter. Further, the handle device can include an indexing member operatively coupled with the catheter to provide indexing of the catheter.

In one embodiment, the sling includes connectors which are integrally molded over each end of the sling. The connectors are releasably attachable to a surgical needle during implantation in a tissue pathway to treat incontinence.

摘要： Systems for providing support to body tissue to alleviate incontinence are disclosed that comprise an elongated incontinence sling having a central support portion adapted to be positioned to support any one of the urethra or anus and first and second sling end portions extending from the central support portion through body tissue and a tension adjustment mechanism acting on or within one or both of the sling end portions. The sling tension adjustment mechanism comprises one or more of a sling tensioning suture or band, a tensioning device coupled to a suture or band free end, a tissue anchor coupled to one or more of a suture free end and a sling end, a mesh fold, a suture tube, and a sling sheath in various combinations.

摘要： A surgical system for positioning organs in a patient. The surgical system includes a mesh retrieval device and a mesh support structure. The mesh support structure is suitable for implanting in the patient to position the organ at a desired location in the patient. The mesh retrieval device is engageable with the mesh support structure. The system includes specialized needles and cannulas for delivery of the mesh retrieval device to the mesh support structure and the subsequent positioning of the mesh support structure, which results in the positioning of the organ. Methods of positioning organs in a patient using such devices are also disclosed.

Such an implant can be constructed of a polymer material to provide an implant portion, e.g., support portion, having one or more extending and independent teeth-like features defining a fold control portion in a generally comb-like construct. The individual teeth resist folding by providing independently reacting extensions along the fold control portion.
