摘要： An apparatus and a method for adapting a prefabricated item of footwear that is formed, at least in part, of hard thermoplastic material, to a user's foot and/or leg. A pressure-exerting element is provided that substantially encloses the item of footwear and that has an accommodating space into which the item of footwear can be placed. The accommodating space is bounded, at least in part, by a deformable material which forms an inner layer of the pressure-exerting element, which contains a cavity and has an inlet opening provided for the introduction of a pressure application fluid. The pressure-exerting element is formed with a portion into which the pressure application fluid cannot enter.

摘要： A method for producing a shoe that can be adapted to the foot of a wearer, is made of hard, thermoplastic synthetic material and is worn for sports, includes heating a prefabricated shoe at least in sections and adapting the shoe by applying pressure from the outside and by shaping the heated area. The shoe is then cooled, a correction strip, which is made of a hard material and is taken from the foot, is introduced in to the prefabricated shoe and the heated shoe is pressed onto the correction strip by applying pressure. A strip correction and a shoe are also provided.

摘要： A pair of parallel rollers disposed in a path of advance of leno waste exiting from a leno weave portion of a weaving machine are provided with facilities for maintaining their peripheries free of the leno waste as such waste advances through the roller nip. Each of the rollers is made hollow, and is provided with a plurality of peripheral apertures for continually ejecting pressurized air axially introduced into the hollow interior of the cylinder by a fitting in its end wall. Each of the so-apertured cylinders is disposed within a contoured housing which necks down in the leno waste-advancing direction from a relatively wide, convex central portion to relatively narrow inlet and outlet end portions through which the waste enters and exits from the roller nip. As a result, pressurized air emerging from the peripheral apertures of the rollers is directed radially outward through each of the narrow end ports of the housing to entrain the leno waste and to continuously clean the periphery of the cylinders.

摘要： An arrangement for forming sheds in a weaving machine having a plurality of operatively mounted heald shafts forming a heald shaft system. A drive shaft is rotatably mounted in the weaving machine and a plurality of eccentrics are non-rotatably mounted on the drive shaft one behind the other. A bearing is mounted on each eccentric; a rim member is mounted on each bearing and a sleeve is mounted on the rim member. One tie rod is pivotally connected to the rim member and another tie rod is threadably connected to the sleeve. The tie rods are connected via suitable linkages to the heald shaft. When the drive shaft rotates the heald shaft is reciprocated by the action of the eccentrics on the bearing and rim member.
