摘要： Urethane acrylate oligomers, suitable for use in coatings and like formulations, prepared by capping polyols having hydroxyl functionality (fOH) equal to or greater than 4, using 2-isocyanatoethyl acrylate or 2-isocyanatoethyl methacrylate, thereby avoiding the gelation that normally occurs in attempting to prepare urethane acrylates with high/OH polyols by reaction with diisocyanates. Reaction of low molecular weight polyols, containing two or three hydroxyl groups, with mono isocyanate(meth)acrylate monomers produces useful, low viscosity urethane (meth)acrylate oligomers. Specifically, capping of a mole of 2,2-dihydroxymethyl butanoic acid by two moles of 2-isocyanatoethyl acrylate molecules leads to the formation of radiation curable water-soluble liquid monomers that are transparent and soluble in water. Oligomers obtained by capping with 2-isocyanatoethyl acrylate demonstrate enhanced adhesion to glass and stainless steel. Solid, hydroxyl-containing chemicals can be transformed to liquids by reaction with monoisocyanate-(meth)acrylate monomers

摘要： An improved, iron-style golf club, which comprises a substantially perimeter weighted clubhead, including an exceptionally hard coating, which is metallurgically bonded to the front face of the clubhead. The rear face of the club comprises concentric recesses substantially co-located at the center of gravity of the clubhead. The recesses are sequentially filled with a variable amount of elastomer material, which is chemically bonded within the recesses. The elastomer acts as both a shock absorber to minimize the shock experienced when the superhard clubface impacts a golf ball and simultaneously acts as a swingweighting medium to variably adjust the swingweight of the club.

摘要： A new and improved method for preparing a fire resistant electrical-conductor is disclosed in which a length of a metal core conductor is first wrapped with a mica-impregnated glass tape to form a continuous first layer, and then an outer coat of a heat-curable platinum catalyzed silicone rubber composition is applied around the tape layer which is cured to form a fire resistant insulation for the electrical conductor. The insulated conductors of the invention provide circuit integrity under fire and may be useful in critical circuitry such as fire alarms and elevators.
