摘要: A direct-drive generator and assembly procedure for that generator include a permanent magnet assembly that is partitioned and assembled piece-by-piece after the rotor and stator have been attached.The magnets are attached to a plate in columns, and adjacent columns have a N-S orientation. The air gap between the rotor and stator is variable, and application of an input torque produces a first cogging torque in a first direction due to the variable air gap that offsets a second cogging torque in a second opposite direction.

摘要: The invention is a generator and cooling mechanism. The generator includes a rotor comprising a shaft with a skewed alignment of magnets on a ring, a stator of toothed laminations with coils wound around the teeth, and a housing with cooling chambers. The housing has annular subchambers arranged successively along the length of the generator in such a way that cooling fluid must flow to the opposite side of the generator to pass into the next chamber. Because the housing is highly heat conductive, this structure of annular subchambers increases the uniformity of the fluid temperature.

摘要: A structured product family of dynamoelectric machines for use in a plurality of applications has a frame with a closed end, and a set of permanent magnets is adhesively secured within the frame. An armature disposed in the frame for interaction with the permanent magnets includes a shaft, a core having a set of winding receiving slots therein, and a commutator. During manufacturing and assembly, stress on the motor shaft and commutator is minimized. A brush plate is associated with the frame for locating a set of brushes relative to the commutator, and an end shield is secured to the frame opposite its closed end. At least one freely aligning bearing assembly disposed in the end shield for freely aligning the shaft and including a bearing and a retainer having predetermined conditions preset with the retainer being adhesively secured to the end shield. A bracket is adhesively secured to the frame for connecting the dynamoelectric machine in anyone of the applications; and a novel brush assembly is provided.

摘要: The present device includes a recoiling roll of screening in a shape of an elongate rectangular web which is affixed to a vertical, rotatable spool at one end and a wand collar at the other. The screen roll is vertically oriented on a mounting frame which is affixed to the side of the pool, preferably adjacent to the automatic skimming water trap. The device may also include an outer canister with wiper brushes for wiping away debris which has been accumulated on the screening as it is retracted.

A magnetic hub is assembled using adjacent columns of magnets having opposed orientation, and placed in the air gap. Application of an input torque to generate cogging torque in first direction that offsets coggery torque in second direction.
