摘要： An apparatus comprised of a power source, a set of primary loads, a set of life extension loads, and a controller. The power source is capable of supplying power and the set of primary loads is capable of being operated using the power. The set of life extension loads is capable of being operated using the power and capable of extending life of the set of primary loads. The controller is capable of controlling an operation of the set of primary loads and the set of life extension loads to optimize a total systems operating metric consisting of performance, energy use, and life to reduce a total cost.

摘要： A power generation system onboard an aircraft includes a fuel cell module configured to produce heat. A loop heat pipe module is coupled to the fuel cell module. The loop heat pipe module includes a first fluid that absorbs the heat from the fuel cell module and is channeled through the loop heat pipe module.

The thermal energy storage module includes a phase-change material. A conduit couples the fuel cell module to the thermal energy storage module. The conduit is oriented to channel the water produced by the fuel cell module through the thermal energy storage module.

摘要： The disclosure provides for an aircraft galley and lavatory energy system capable of independent operation from a separate aircraft energy generating system. The galley and lavatory energy system comprises an energy source providing electrical energy, heat energy, and at least one by-product; a plurality of galley and lavatory devices for receiving the electrical energy, the heat energy, and the at least one by-product; and, a plurality of connectors for connecting the electrical energy, the heat energy, and the at least one by-product to the galley and lavatory devices. The energy source comprises a fuel cell, a fuel module, and optionally, a supplemental fuel source.
