摘要: In a method of cutting high-tensile workpieces, in particular sheet metals of martensite steel, the workpiece is subjected to a bending stress prior and during a shearing process. The bending stress causes a substantial component of a tensile force transverse to a desired cutting contour. Tensile stresses are superimposed to the shearing stresses, which favor the beginning of the workpiece separation. The bending stress is preferably selected so that the resulting tensile stress exists at a side facing the cutting tool.

At least one measuring sensor which is part of a triggering apparatus arranged inside the lever linkage and which is in a position to measure the force acting on the extractor element continuously. The triggering apparatus is provided to disengage the coupling in the event of a deviation of the force value measured continuously by at least one measuring sensor from a force standard value specified in reference to a certain point in the motion of the extractor element by a certain amount.

The two drive motors are connected to the plunger via a drive unit. A control arrangement is provided for controlling the two drive motors. The control arrangement includes a characteristic plunger curve (K) which determines the plunger positions and/or the plunger movement and/or the plunger force dependent on time or dependent on a so-called virtual press angle. In addition, the control arrangement includes an additional condition which is independent of the characteristic plunger curve (K). Via the additional condition the operation of the press drive, for example, in an optimum operating range and/or a low-wear lubrication state of the support bearings of the drive unit can be ensured.

摘要: To increase the cutting quality and to improve the operation of a press, in particular in punching high-strength martensitic materials or when punching thick sheet metal, a sheet metal holding device is provided for securely clamping the respective workpiece during the punching operation. The clamping force is increased to 40% or more of the ram force. The force exerted by the sheet metal holding device during the penetration of the workpiece can be further increased. The increase in the clamping force preferably takes place in a controlled manner as a function of the press angle.
