摘要:
A high contrast photographic material free from nucleating agents comprising a support bearing a silver halide emulsion layer comprising silver halide grains and a hydrophilic colloid having a silver:hydrophilic colloid ratio above 1.9, and containing a density enhancing amine compound in the emulsion layer or an adjacent hydrophilic colloid layer wherein at least 60% of the silver halide grains are spectrally sensitized. A photographic image can be formed from the imagewise exposed material by a method comprising developing the exposed material for a time no longer than 25 seconds at a temperature no greater than 35° C.
摘要:
A photographic element comprising a light sensitive silver halide emulsion sensitized with a dye of formula (I) and a nucleating agent or amine booster associated with the silver halide emulsion: ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.3 is an alkyl group, alkenyl group, or aryl groupR.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are each hydrogen, an alkyl group, alkenyl or aryl group;R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are, independently, an alkyl group, alkenyl group, aryl group, or H;the dye has at least three acid or acid salt substituents; andeach L independently represents a methine group;p is 0 or 1;Z.sub.1 represents the atoms necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring group;(X).sub.n represents counterions as needed to balance the charge on the molecule. The present invention also provides a process for forming a high contrast photographic image on a photographic element having a light sensitive silver halide emulsion sensitized with a dye of formula (I). The process comprises developing such a photographic element in the presence of a hydrazine compound and an amine booster.
摘要:
A photosensitive photographic silver halide material comprising a support bearing a layer of a silver halide emulsion comprising at least 50% silver chloride which contains in or adjacent the emulsion layer a hydrazide nucleating agent and an amine booster, the combination of which is capable of providing high contrast images, which emulsion is sensitised with a dye of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are individually hydrogen, or halogen atom or an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms, a sulfoalkyl, a trifluoromethyl, or cyano group, R.sup.3 is an alkyl or substituted alkyl group, R.sup.4 is a sulfoalkyl group, and R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are individually an alkyl or substituted alkyl group, andwherein there is the necessary counter-ion.
