摘要： An information security system and method that provides electric power to an authorized user and denies electric power to an unauthorized user. An administrator requests access for a user, and a site controller generates a key/receptacle tuple for the use. The key/receptacle tuple is communicated to a site power source, which broadcasts the key/receptacle information to all secure receptacles in a facility, or other infrastructure. The key is also communicated to the user. The user plugs in a device into a secure receptacle and provides the key via a secure adapter between the device and the secure receptacle. If the key is valid, the users' device is supplied with electric power; otherwise, electric power is denied to the unauthorized user's device. The usage of the secure receptacles are logged and analyzed by the site controller and reports are communicated to the administrator.

摘要： A portable article lifter, separator, and compressor capable moving a variety of articles. The core components are a frame, a motor, a power source, and a set of interchangeable end effectors suitable for moving different types of articles. This device is used to lift an article, separate multiple articles from each other, and compress one or more articles. Multiple devices can operate collaboratively to move a large and/or heavy article via daisy chaining the devices using synchronization modules. A transmission between the motor and the end effector controls the speed and the torque of the end effector. The device further provides an ON/Off module, a frame base, a handle, a level, wheels and rollers, and a work light.

The ontologies may be applied in word recognition processes to resolve ambiguities in language elements (e.g., words) where the values of some of the characters in the language elements are uncertain. Implementations of the method may use an ontology to resolve ambiguities in an input string of characters, for example. In some implementations, the input string may be received from a language conversion source such as, for example, an optical character recognition (OCR) device that generates a string of characters in electronic form from visible character images, or a voice recognition (VR) device that generates a string of characters in electronic form from speech input. Some implementations may process the generated character strings by using an ontology in combination with syntactic and/or grammatical analysis engines to further improve word recognition accuracy.

摘要： Apparatus, and an associated method, for providing traffic route visualization. An electronic map device creates a map that is displayable at a user display of a user interface. The map is created through the access of a traffic image data base and a traffic information data base. Information stored at the data bases is obtained in a collaborative effort to provide and maintain updated information thereat. Images stored at the image data base comprise actual image files or photo realistic images that are consolidated together with traffic information. The resultant map is of characteristics permitting quick comprehension by a viewer thereof.
