Hydraulic pressure controls the output ratio, while the speed reducer is in operation. This mechanism operates by converting rotary motion from a motor to controlled reciprocating motion, which is converted to controlled rotary output motion.This operating principle is adaptable for use in a continuously variable automobile transmission.
