摘要: An apparatus and method for performing warming therapy is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a patient support assembly and at least one heating element coupled to the patient support assembly, formed of a plurality of heating cells. In another exemplary embodiment, the heating element is formed of a plurality of separate heating segments which may be Individually controlled. In yet another exemplary embodiment, the heating element is coupled to at least one oxygen sensor and a control system for controlling the power applied to the heating element based on the oxygen level measured by the oxygen sensor. The heating element may be made of materials which are X-ray transparent, so that a patient disposed on a heated mattress will not need to be moved from the mattress to have effective X-ray diagnostics performed.

摘要: A vane-type mist eliminator is provided with pocket-like channels extending along the lengths fo the vanes. The pockets allow droplets entrained in a gas stream to impinge and cling to the vane, and then drain, without being re-entrained in the gas stream because they are protected from the gas stream by a portion of the pocket which defines the channel. The device does not increase the pressure drop when compared with a similar device lacking the pockets, and allows for a higher throughput before breakthrough occurs.

摘要: An adjustable RF microwave tuning post for use in an RF cavity is disclosed. It is comprised of a flexible integrally-formed hollow tuning post disposed in the RF cavity. A drive shaft extending internally of the tuning post is provided to vary the dimensions of the tuning post. The drive shaft is connected to the tuning post at the top end thereof and connected at the other end of the drive shaft to an adjusting nut. The tuning post is made flexible by the use of bellows, which in a preferred embodiment of the invention is located along the side walls thereof.
