摘要: The technique of the present invention enhances the workability of bonding and improves the finish in poster printing. The procedure first sets multiple areas adjacent to one another in an image expressed by master image data, where each of the multiple areas corresponds to each unit page to be printed. The procedure then enlarges each of the adjacent areas by preset dimensions (corresponding to an enlarged area in marginless printing) and sequentially extracts image data included in each enlarged area. The procedure subsequently magnifies the extracted image data by a predetermined magnification to generate each piece of page image data. The area actually printed is a little greater than the size of each sheet of printing paper. This arrangement thus enables an image part, for example, each part of a letter ‘A’, to be printed to the top, bottom, left, and right sides of each sheet of printing paper. The image part printed in each sheet of printing paper is continuous with the image part printed in an adjoining sheet of printing paper.

摘要: There has been a problem in that original image data should be saved with another name so as not to be altered, resulting in complexity and an increase in a necessary storage region.Image data are housed in a folder managed as a film metaphor and a database of photographic data 30b corresponding to each image data is prepared. When a desirable image processing is selected for desirable image data, the selected image processing is updated as modification information in the database structure. When display, output or print is actually required, various image processings are executed by referring to modification information on only a work area with original image data left. Therefore, it is possible to easily enjoy image modification or the like with the original image data left as they are.

摘要: A two-dimensional coded character string linker for eliminating duplications when first and second two-dimensional coded character string files partially overlap each other, by automatically deleting the duplicated coded character data from one file, and linking the two-dimensional coded character string files. In order to achieve this object, in the two-dimensional file linker of this invention, any duplications between a first file written into a first memory and a second file written into a second memory are identified by an aligner. A linking element removes any duplication, and links the first and second files as one two-dimensional coded character string file.

摘要: The present invention provides a data management system realizing simple, clear, and easily understandable display and operation. The data management system is applicable, for example, to management of name cards. In management of name cards, name card data (101) includes a plurality of name card records (100). A card summary record (110, 112) prepared as title data includes a card ID and part of item data included in each name record (100). Each summarized card data (111, 113) includes a plurality of card summary records (110, 112) collected according to a predetermined condition, and is placed into a certain card box (120, 121). Each card box has a characteristic name such as `business` or `private`. Visually hierarchical display of data in the form of a card box list, a target list including a plurality of target data, and individual name card data helps the user clearly understand the whole data display and data retrieval. This allows quick access to a desired name card. The target list is data having a fixed length and used on a memory, thereby realizing high-speed data retrieval and display. The system of the invention further includes a data maintenance mechanism and an auto-dialing mechanism.

摘要: A user I/F unit 200 transmits an instruction given by a user to an access management unit 100 and displays data on a monitor 76. The access management unit 100 transfers requirements to a communication control unit 300 and a data management unit 400 in response to the instruction from the user, transfers data from a communications host to the data management unit 400, and outputs data from a database 410 to the user I/F unit 200. The data management unit 400 writes data into the database 410 and reads storage data from the database 410 in response to the requirement from the access management unit 100. Data transmitted from the communications host are sorted out according to communication services and stored in the database 410. The communication control unit 300 translates the requirement from the access management unit 100 to a menu number representing each communication service available from the communications host or a command and sends the translated requirement to a communication I/F unit 500. This structure enables input data to be sorted out and stored without any overlap.
