    摘要： When a detection device detects any kind of change regarding track recording after the start of the track recording, a grouping instruction is given to information attaching and generating device. Then, the information attaching and generating device attaches the same group name information to a group, in which a track where the recording has been started in an information recording medium to a track recorded at the point when the grouping instruction has been received are made to be the same group, and group control information is generated. Therefore, since the grouping is automatically performed by any kind of change regarding the track recording, a user can omit the operation that he/she performs the grouping by himself/herself, and thus the operation load of the user can be reduced.

    摘要： A disk player reads data read from a disk after temporary storage in a memory and outputs the read data and is capable of preventing the memory from becoming empty by a retry operation for reading data, thereby avoiding a sound failure. When an address whose data is not correctly readable is present on a disk, the address information of that address is stored, and when the same disk is played again, the data reading operation for the new address is performed before the amount of remaining data in the memory becomes too small at the time the next reading address is address whose data is unreadable based on the address information. When at least the same disk is played again, therefore, the memory may not become empty, thus preventing a sound failure from occurring.

    摘要： An information reproduction unit has a data read means with a pickup for intermittently reading data recorded on a storage medium, a write means for writing the data in a memory, and a reproduction means for sequentially reading out the data written in the memory. The unit also has a defect detection means for detecting a defect of the storage medium during a data read waiting period. The defect detection means may determine the presence of a defect based on a readout result provided by the data read means. The unit may further include a storage means for storing a defect position information. Furthermore, a read characteristic may be adjusted on reading data at the defect position on the storage medium.

    摘要： A recording apparatus records information, which is continuously inputted from the external, onto a record medium. The recording apparatus is provided with: a compressing device for compressing the record information; a first memory for temporarily storing the compressed record information; an optical pickup for writing and reading the compressed record information onto and from the record medium; a control device for controlling the optical pickup to periodically write the compressed record information from the first memory by a predetermined data volume onto the record medium, to stop writing in a record stop duration, and to read the compressed record information from the record medium as compressed reproduction information in the record stop duration; a second memory for storing the compressed reproduction information; and a judgement device for judging whether or not the compressed reproduction information stored in the second memory is coincident with the compressed record information stored in the first memory.
