The optical transceiver of the invention includes a plurality of OSAs, an optical component of an optical multiplexer or an optical de-multiplexer, and inner fibers connecting the OSAs with the optical component. The optical transceiver further includes a gasket to shield the inside of the housing and put the inner fibers therein to guide them.

    摘要: A mechanism to fix the new type of the pluggable optical transceiver to the host system is disclosed. The optical transceiver provides the screws, while, the host system has the face panel with a port and the rail system between which the optical transceiver is set through the port. In the present invention, the screw of the transceiver is fastened to the rail not the face panel, and the rail is precisely aligned with the electrical connector. Thus, the pluggable transceiver in the electrical plug thereof is exactly mated with the electrical connector of the host system.

    摘要: The pluggable optical transceiver of the present invention provides a tailed finger that comes in contact with the inner surface of the cage by pushing outward by the optical connector when the optical connector mates with the optical receptacle. While, when the optical receptacle of the transceiver is free from the optical connector, the tailed finger protrudes into the optical receptacle and no influence is affected to insert the transceiver into or to extract the transceiver from the cage.

    摘要: An optical transceiver is disclosed, in which an optical subassembly maybe assembled within a housing without degrading an optical coupling efficiency between a semiconductor optical device in the subassembly and an optical fiver in an external optical connected that is mated with the housing of the transceiver. The subassembly comprises a sleeve portion and a body portion that installs the optical device therein. The subassembly is assembled in the housing such that the sleeve portion thereof is put between the holder and the cover. The holder and the cover each provides a concave surface that comes in contact with the sleeve portion only by two lines in parallel to the optical axis of the subassembly when the sleeve portion is set within the concave surface.

    摘要: A heat dissipating mechanism from an optical assembly to housing without stressing the assembly against the housing is disclosed. The optical assembly has a box-shaped portion to install the optical device and the heat generating device. Among six walls of the box-shaped portion, rear and one side wall are provided for the signal transmission, and two side walls continuous to each other are provided for the heat conduction. The housing forms a hollow within which the optical assembly is set such that the two side walls of the optical assembly come in thermally contact with the bottom and one side wall of the hollow.

    摘要: The present invention provides an optical module with an improved temperature condition surrounding an opto-electronic device. The optical module of the present invention comprises an optical sub-assembly including an opto-electronic device, a first circuit board electrically connected to the optical sub-assembly, an electronic device mounted on the first circuit board, a lower housing for mounting the first circuit board, an upper housing for covering the circuit board and electronic device, and a metal cover for covering the upper housing. Constructed in the optical module are a first heat-dissipating path for dissipating heat from the electronic device to the cover via the upper housing, and a second heat-dissipating path, different from the first heat-dissipating path, for dissipating heat from the optical sub-assembly to the cover by way of the upper housing.
