The resistance division ratios for gray scale voltage generating resistors provided in the source driver of a source line drive circuit for applying gray scale voltages to pixels via source lines are optimized in accordance with a gray scale display characteristic, and the positive-side voltage resistance division ratios and the negative-side voltage resistance division ratios are set so as to be asymmetrical with one another in consideration of a level shift characteristic.

    摘要: An auxiliary capacitance electrode driving circuit outputs an auxiliary capacitance electrode driving signal alternating between high potential and low potential once every horizontal scanning period. A common electrode driving circuit drives a common electrode such that it also alternates between high potential and low potential once every horizontal scanning period. In an auxiliary capacitance potential setting circuit, the anode of a diode is connected to an auxiliary capacitance electrode driving signal line and the cathode of the diode is connected to a ground conductor. A node between the anode of the diode and the auxiliary capacitance electrode driving signal line is connected via a capacitor to the auxiliary capacitance electrode driving circuit. Thus, the auxiliary capacitance potential setting circuit functions as a clamping circuit for setting an upper limit of the potential of the auxiliary capacitance electrode.

    摘要: An auxiliary capacitance electrode driving circuit outputs an auxiliary capacitance electrode driving signal alternating between high potential and low potential once every horizontal scanning period.     摘要: A plurality of column electrode driving circuits is used in a matrix type display device including a plurality of row electrode driving circuits each for driving a plurality of row electrodes and the plurality of column electrode driving circuits each for driving a plurality of column electrodes. Each of the plurality of column electrode driving circuits includes a data input section for receiving a control data signal for the plurality of column electrodes; a timing control section for generating a timing control signal for controlling at least one of the row electrode driving circuit and the column electrode driving circuit; a selection section for selecting one of a signal in synchronization with the timing signal generated by the timing control section and the control data signal input to the data input section, based on the control data signal input to the data input section; and a data output section for outputting one of the signal in synchronization with the timing signal and the control data signal which is selected by the selection section. The data input section of a second column electrode driving circuit of the plurality of column electrode driving circuits is connected to the data output section of a first column electrode driving circuit of the plurality of column electrode driving circuits, and the data output section of the second column electrode driving circuit is connected to the data input section of a third column electrode driving circuit of the plurality of column electrode driving circuits.
