    摘要: A thermoplastic elastomer that is adherent to polar materials may be made from a dynamically vulcanized blend of propylene resin, ethylene/alpha-olefin/non-conjugated diene elastomers, and a bonding agent via a curing system containing a free radical initiator, at least one co-agent including multifunctional acrylates containing at least two acrylate groups, multifunctional maleimides containing at least two imide groups, or mixtures of both, where the elastomer gel content in the modified blend is at least about 97 percent. Reaction mixtures, articles made therefrom, and methods of dynamically vulcanizing are also disclosed.

    摘要: A thermoplastic elastomer with increased oil resistance and decreased compression set compared to conventionally cured thermoplastic elastomers may be made from a dynamically vulcanized blend of propylene resin and ethylene/alpha-olefin/non-conjugated diene elastomers via a curing system containing a free radical initiator, a first co-agent including diene-containing polymers with a 1,2-vinyl content greater than 50% by weight, and a second co-agent including multifunctional acrylates containing at least two acrylate groups, multifunctional maleimides containing at least two imide groups, or mixtures of both, where the elastomer gel content in the modified blend is at least 97%.

Methods and devices for calibrating particulate matter sensors are also described.

    摘要: The melt strength of an unmodified semi-crystalline polypropylene resin may be increased via thermally reversible ionic bonds and long chain branches formed by the addition of a sufficient amount of at least one peroxygenated polyolefin and a sufficient amount of at least one metallic coupling agent. The peroxide content of the peroxygenated polyolefin ranges from about 1 mmol to 200 mmol total peroxide per kilogram of polymer. The metallic coupling agent is typically at least one metallic salt of alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acids or alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acids where the acid group has been neutralized.

    摘要: Thermoplastic vulcanizate blends, or a reaction product thereof, that include at least one propylene resin, at least one ethylene/alpha-olefin/non-conjugated diene elastomer, a curing system, and at least one co-agent may be formed into a foamed blend by the addition of a plurality of expandable polymeric microspheres. Methods of forming such foamed blends and resultant articles are also included. Compared to an equivalent non-foamed blend, such foamed blends are characterized by features that may include low thermal conductivity and decreased density in a closed cell structure with accompanying small cell size, good processability, and colorability.

One system includes a controller (450) for utilizing a dust sensor (456) comprising a memory (454) and a processor (452) configured to execute executable instructions stored in the memory (454) to sample a plurality of low pulse occupancies of a particle measurement system at a predetermined interval, wherein the plurality of low pulse occupancies produce a number of spikes. The controller (450) can reduce the number of spikes by applying a recursive moving average to the plurality of low pulse occupancies. The controller (450) can display, on a user interface, an air level condition based on the plurality of low pulse occupancies and the recursive moving average.
