Abstract: A protective enclosure apparatus includes a base and a cover. The base includes a plurality of pins each including cap portion. The cap portion includes a contact surface. A cover includes a plurality of cover openings formed therein for receiving the pins and a latch portion communicating with each of the cover openings. The latch portion is angled to allow an end portion of the latch portion to engage with the contact surface and to allow the latch portion to be biased toward the plurality pins when the cover is pulled away from the base.

Abstract: A light pipe assembly (10) for an electrical device comprises a holder (12) made of a compliant material, and light pipes (14) which transmit light. The light pipes are seated in channels (16) formed in the holder. The holder has compressible ridges (22) formed on the portion of the holder where light enters (18). The light pipe assembly is seated in the device such that the light receiving face (34) of each light pipe is in proximity to a surface mounted LED (50). The compressible ridges keep light from bleeding from the LED to adjacent light pipes and compensates for the slight variations in dimensions between the housing (42) and the circuit board (44) of the device. The top portion (30) of each light pipe protrudes above the holder and through openings in the housing so that the signal of the LED can be seen.

Abstract: Illuminated button assemblies are provided that can be secured to a mounting surface by any of a locking member such as a snap tab, a securing member such as a nut, or a combination of both. The securing member is adapted to enclose the locking member when it is fully secured.
