The loadstop drive assembly is positioned on one side of a gear wall and the pick drive assembly is positioned on an opposite side of the gear wall such that the pick drive assembly is driven by the loadstop drive assembly through the gear wall.

摘要： In one embodiment, a device for moving print media in a printer includes: a rotatable shaft extending lengthwise along an axis of rotation and a hub. The hub is operatively and pivotally connected to the shaft at a connection such that the hub rotates with the shaft about the axis of rotation and so that the hub may tilt on the shaft relative to the axis of rotation. The device also includes a pick tire or other feature on the hub on each side of the connection to move print media when the shaft rotates the hub. In another embodiment, a method for moving print media in a printer includes: applying a force to a sheet of print media at two locations spaced apart across the sheet; and, simultaneously with the act of applying, equalizing the force applied at the two locations.

摘要： A method and apparatus for advancing a sheet of print media through a printer mechanism having a print zone. The apparatus includes a roller assembly for advancing a sheet of media through the print zone, a printing assembly for recording information on a surface of the sheet of media and an assembly for receiving the sheet of media once information has been recorded on the sheet of media. The apparatus includes a kicker which is movable in the forward direction to engage an edge of the sheet of media to urge the sheet in a forwardly direction from the print zone to the receiving assembly. The method of this invention includes the step of pushing the edge of the sheet of media towards the receiving assembly.

摘要： An ink jet printing system with a pen body having a first chamber and a second chamber. A print head on the pen body is connected to the second chamber, and an ink-transmissive barrier separates the second chamber from the first chamber. A pump is connected to the pen body in communication with the first chamber, and operates to generate a positive pressure in the first chamber to motivate ink from the first chamber, through the barrier, and into the second chamber. An ink supply cartridge may be provided that removably connects to the pen body, and which has openings in registration with corresponding openings in the pen body into the first and second chambers, respectively. A sliding shutter or other valve may be provided on each of the pen body and the cartridge to close the openings when the cartridge is removed from the pen body. An actuator portion of the cartridge may operate to engage the pump upon installation of the cartridge, and to displace any gas bubble from the second chamber to the supply cartridge; upon disengagement of the cartridge, the actuator may release the pump, drawing ink from the cartridge into the first chamber.
