Abstract:
A motion picture film having digital audio data recorded in at least one sound track thereof. Such digital audio data includes a plurality of bytes of data each having 8 bits of data. Each respective bit of each byte of audio data is recorded in a sound track of the film in the film running direction and each byte is arranged side-by-side in a direction normal to the film running direction to form a compression processing block. C1 parity data is added to each such compression processing block and C2 parity data is added after a predetermined interval of plural compression processing blocks. Error correction may be performed by utilizing the C1 and C2 parity data for each compression processing block and at the predetermined interval of plural compression blocks.

Abstract:
A film position detection apparatus and a method for precisely detecting a film position are provided. An image film projection apparatus is also provided for correcting deflections of images through precisely detecting a film position and thereby projecting images recorded on the film in a good condition. A film position detection means has a ground electrode attached to a movable picture gate; detection electrodes placed in a fixed picture gate; and auxiliary electrodes placed around the detection electrodes. The auxiliary electrodes suppress erroneous variations in electrostatic capacitance generated between the ground electrode and the detection electrodes. As a result, accuracy in film position detection by the detection electrodes is improved for achieving precise detection.
Abstract:
A movie film image projecting device wherein a movie film is intermittently stopped in a manner synchronized with rotation of a sprocket by means of travel-synchronizing holes which have been formed longitudinally with respect to the movie film and a light from a light source is projected on a stated region of the movie film at a stopped base position. Detectors for detecting at a plurality of locations the displacement of the film from the base position at the time the movie film has stopped, on the basis of the travel-synchronizing holes, output a different position detection signal corresponding to the deviation of the film from the base position at each of the plurality of locations. An abnormality judging circuit supplied with the position detection signals determines whether or not the position detection signals are abnormal and outputs an abnormality detection signal for each of the position detection signals which is determined to be abnormal. An optical axis correcting unit supplied with the position detection signals and the abnormality detection signals then corrects the optical axis of light transmitted through the movie film on the basis of the position detection signals which are judged by the abnormality judging means to be not abnormal.

Abstract:
An apparatus for intermittently feeding a movie film on a frame by frame basis to a film processing unit for processing thereat by inserting projections into openings formed on both sides of the movie film at predetermined pitches and driving the same by use of a driving device. The film processing apparatus may include a guiding device for guiding the film along a path which passes nearby the film processing unit so as to enable the film processing unit to capture an image from the film and to perform processing of the same. The film processing apparatus may further include a device for exerting pressure on the film by moving the guiding device so that a portion of the film which passes nearby the film processing unit is held in tension, and a restraining device for restraining the guiding means from moving.
Abstract:
In a first guide unit the plural number of electrodes are provided facing the edge of a movie film containing a plurality of perforations formed along the longitudinal direction of the movie film, in a second guide unit a band shaped conducting material is provided facing the electrodes having the movie film between, and each stop position with respect to window holes is detected based on the amount of change of each electrostatic capacity changing depending on the displacement rate from each stop position of a plurality of condensers which are formed making each electrode and conducting material as a pole plate respectively and making the thickness of the movie film as the distance of pole plates. Therefore, a film position detection device, a film image display device and a movie film recording device capable of further improving the movie film position detection accuracy can be realized with the simple construction.

Abstract:
A motion picture film reproducing device for reading out a tracking pattern recorded on the motion picture film and reading out audio data, after tracking control, for reproducing RF signals. The signal level of a tracking pattern portion of RF signals outputted by a voltage-controlled variable gain amplifier (VCA) 11 adapted fro adjusting the RF signal level is sample-held by a first sample-and-hold (S/H) circuit 13. The average signal level of the audio data portion of the RF signals is sample-held by a second sample-and-hold (S/H) circuit 16 via a low-pass filter made up of a resister 14 and a capacitor 15. A difference detection circuit 18, supplied via a changeover switch 17 with the sample-held output of the first sample-and-hold circuit 13 or the second S/H circuit 16, detects the difference between the signal level of the sample-held output and a pre-set signal level for controlling the VCA for decreasing the detected difference.
Abstract:
A motion picture film is provided on which a digital sound track for audio data is formed along the film running direction. Data tracks are disposed in the digital sound track along a direction normal to the film running direction and extend in the film running direction. A data pattern having a block of audio data is recorded in the data tracks, along with tracking patterns representing each data track. Each of the tracking patterns is recorded at one side of the data track along the film running direction with an offset in the film running direction of one half the width of a data track from the center of that data track.
