Abstract: A hollow waveguide directional coupler comprises two hollow waveguide sections that are coupled to each other by a plurality of coupling openings formed in a wall extending between the hollow waveguide sections. Two adjacent coupling openings have a distance of 3λg/4. from each other, λg being the wavelength of the nominal center frequency of the operating frequency range of the directional coupler.

Abstract: A portable seat assembly includes a frame that may be removably mounted in a vehicle. A plurality of retention units is provided and each of the retention units is attached to the frame. Each of the retention units may engage an inside surface of an exterior wall of the vehicle thereby retaining the frame in an upright position. A lock is attached to one of the retention units. The lock may engage the inside surface of the exterior wall of the vehicle thereby preventing the retention units from being dislodged from the interior surface of the exterior wall of the vehicle. A seat is coupled to the frame and the seat may be sat upon.

Abstract: A compensating arrangement for two aligned, angularly relatively offset, end-to-end positioned wave guides of identical cross section. The compensating arrangement has a plate member inserted between face-to-face arranged terminal flanges of the two wave guides. The plate member has an aperture corresponding to the cross-sectional area of the passage defined together by the two wave guides; and two oppositely located capacitive loads extending into the aperture and being symmetrically located with respect to the bisector of the angle defined by the minor transverse axes of the wave guides. The capacitive loads are reactance members for a broad-band compensation for the discontinuity between the angularly offset wave guides.
