    摘要: A control unit shifts an imaging unit relatively with respect to a stage to take an image of a measuring object at a plurality of places by the imaging unit and thereby obtain a plurality of images, and generates a composite image of the measuring object having a range which is wider than an imaging range of the imaging unit by combining the plurality of images. The control unit shifts the imaging unit relatively with respect to the stage such that parts of images adjacent to one another obtained by the imaging unit overlap, and performs an image matching processing that performs image matching of an overlapped portion of the adjacent images. The control unit generates the composite image of the measuring object by joining the adjacent images at a position where the image matching is performed in the image matching processing.

    摘要: Methods and systems for automatically recovering a failed video inspection tool in a precision machine vision inspection system are described. A set of recovery instructions may be associated or merged with a video tool to allow the tool to automatically recover and proceed to provide an inspection result after an initial failure. The recovery instructions include operations that evaluate and modify feature inspection parameters that govern acquiring an image of a workpiece feature and inspecting the feature. The set of instructions may include an initial phase of recovery that adjusts image acquisition parameters. If adjusting image acquisition parameters does not result in proper tool operation, additional feature inspection parameters, such as the tool position, may be adjusted. The order in which the multiple feature inspection parameters and their related characteristics are considered may be predefined so as to most efficiently complete the automatic tool recovery process.

    摘要: A method of generating a part program for use in an image-measuring system and in an image-measuring instrument is provided. The method can be employed easily by an operator without complicated operations to efficiently generate a part program for a CNC image-measuring instrument. This method facilitates the operator to visually identify a work to be measured, through reading CAD data of the work; setting measurement conditions and a positioning coordinate system; calculating a size of the work when it is practically imaged; and displaying an image of the CAD data with the same size. Then, through setting tolerance information; and selecting an objective graphic to be measured, an edge detection tool is placed for a graphic element of the objective graphic selected. Further, through performing a process to accommodate as many edge detection tools in a determination circle as possible; generating a part program only requiring the least stage movements; performing a practical measurement; checking an image obtained from the measured data with an image obtained from the CAD data, information such as an error from a design value can be displayed on a screen.

The hardness tester includes an imaging unit, a display unit, a pointing device and a position adjustment unit. The imaging unit takes an image of a surface of the sample. The display unit displays a surface image of the sample and a cursor. The pointing device receives a first instruction instructing a movement of the surface image of the sample appearing on the display unit through a movement of the cursor, and a second instruction instructing a change in a height of the sample stage through a movement of the cursor. The position adjustment unit moves the sample stage in a horizontal direction and in a vertical direction.
