Abstract: An antenna of a network asset may be placed at a location determined based on a signal quality analysis carried out using a clutter object data set characterizing the influences of real world objects present in an area on signal propagation. The clutter object data set may be generated based on a set of clutter object data files each of which corresponds to a respective type of real world object. Clutter object data files may be generated based on an image of the area and each includes data representing the positions of pixels having a spectral characteristic indicative of the corresponding object type. The object clutter data set may include information derived from the object data files according to a relative hierarchical order of object types.

Abstract: The invention relates to an image analysis method for automatically extracting data from a bar chart. A processor receives a digital image of a bar chart comprising a plurality of o-bars. The processor provides a plurality of hypothesis charts respectively specifying a sequence of h-bars, a particular way of grouping the h-bars into categories, and an injective mapping from the o-bars to the h-bars. The processor compares the h-bars of the hypothesis charts with the o-bars of the bar chart in the image for assigning the o-bars to series and categories in accordance with the one of the hypothesis charts whose h-bars are most similar to the o-bars and for returning the series and the category assigned to said o-bars.

Abstract: An object detecting arrangement is configured to detect objects in a field surrounding a vehicle hosting the arrangement. The arrangement comprises an imaging unit configured to capture images of the field. The imaging unit is arranged at the vehicle such that the field is in a direction of at least one of a side of the vehicle, and a rear of the vehicle. The arrangement further comprises a processing unit configured to detect objects in the field. The processing unit is configured to determine an object detecting capability. In addition, the arrangement comprises an illumination unit configured to illuminate the field when the object detecting capability is lower than a first predetermined threshold value. The present disclosure also relates to a lane keeping arrangement, a positioning arrangement and a method of detecting objects.

Abstract: A travel route generation apparatus includes a work field data input interface, a handwriting input interface, a memory, and circuitry. Work field data are to be input via the work field data input interface. The work field data includes data regarding a shape of a work field in which a work vehicle is to work. A handwriting locus is to be input via the handwriting input interface. The memory is to store travel route patterns. The circuitry is configured to select a designated travel route pattern from travel route patterns based on the handwriting locus and to generate, based on the designated travel route pattern and the work field data, a travel route along which the work vehicle is to travel in the work field.

Abstract: A control logic diagram analysis device that efficiently creates a control logic diagram, and a method thereof. The control logic diagram analysis device includes a control logic diagram analysis rule application unit, a control logic diagram template component generation unit, and a control logic diagram project-specific part extraction unit. The control logic diagram analysis rule application unit sequentially applies a control logic diagram analysis rule to the control logic diagram from a lower layer level. The control logic diagram template component generation unit acquires the control logic diagram analysis rule having an agreement section within the control logic diagram. The control logic diagram project-specific part extraction unit extracts an element in the control logic diagram corresponding to the control logic diagram analysis rule having the agreement section within the control logic diagram.

Abstract: A device, system, and method for displaying seismic image data may include computing, from a wide-azimuth data set, a discrete data set associated with an image function at a seismic image point. The discrete data set may be mapped onto a continuous curved three-dimensional surface. The mapped data set may be projected onto a continuous planar surface. The projected data may be displayed as a planar disk. A plurality of continuous planar surfaces, each representing a single image point, may be assembled to form a three-dimensional body, representing a seismic gather of image points. The three-dimensional body may be displayed. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Method for determining position of a mobile device having an imaging device includes obtaining an image of a mark on a known-position object from the imaging device, the mark having an encoded position, decoding the mark to derive data about the position of the mark using a database of marks and their positions, and analyzing appearance of the mark in the image in combination with the derived data about the position of the mark to determine the position of the mobile device. Mark appearance analysis may involve analyzing an angle between an imaging direction of the imaging device and a surface of the mark.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for determining the geographic location of an end-user device (e.g., vehicle, mobile phone, smart watch, etc.). An end-user device may collect a depth map at a location in a path network. Feature geometries may be obtained from a fingerprint database in proximity to the location in the path network. The depth map may be oriented with the feature geometries of the fingerprint. Control points from an extracted feature geometry in the depth map may be compared with control points within the fingerprint. Match rates may be calculated based on the comparison, and a geographic location of the end-user device may be determined when an overall match rate exceeds a minimum threshold value.

Abstract: A method for image processing. The method includes: reading an image of a flowchart; identifying, within the image, a plurality of paths corresponding to the flowchart; classifying a first path of the plurality of paths as a flowchart element by: calculating, during a solo evaluation phase, a plurality of established likelihood scores for the first path based on a plurality of properties of the first path; calculating, during a neighbor-based evaluation phase, a first plurality of provisional likelihood scores for the first path based on the plurality of established likelihood scores for the first path and a plurality of established likelihood scores for a second path of the plurality of paths; and updating, during the neighbor-based evaluation phase, the plurality of established likelihood scores for the first path based on the first plurality of provisional likelihood scores; and generating a flowchart object based on the classified first path.
