摘要： A configuration and method for bonding a thin metal layer to two workpieces, e.g. solar cells and film-backed/reinforced small contact strips including: (i) the backing film is removed from the solar cell; (ii) the two films/layers are pressed together; and (iii) the two parts are irradiated from the side of the rear contact of the thin-film solar cell. Preferably two or three laser treatment steps are used for removing the backing film of the thin-film solar cell in an ablation process by means of a short-pulse laser and riveting the first metal layer to the second metal layer by irradiating the same by means of a long-pulse laser.

The stud including a joining portion, by means of which the joining component can be joined onto the workpiece, and a fastening portion, formed as a single piece with the joining portion and to which at least one further structural element can be fastened. The joining portion including a joining surface that contacts the flat workpiece during joining and has a circumference. There being realized in the joining surface at least one recess that extends transversely relative to the circumference and that divides the joining surface into at least two partial surfaces.

摘要： A joining device for joining a component to a workpiece. The device includes a component holder which moves the component along an axis in a first direction towards the workpiece in order to connect the component to the workpiece, and has a protective gas feed in order to carry out a welding process in a protective gas atmosphere. During the welding process the protective gas is discharged essentially in a second direction which is opposed to the first direction. An elastic sealing sleeve including folding bellows is arranged in relation to the component holder in such a way that a welding space, which is bounded by the workpiece, the component holder, the component and the sealing sleeve and through which the protective gas flows, is sealed off from the external surroundings during the welding process so that the protective gas can escape only in the second direction.
