Abstract:
A rotary pickles making device comprises a base body including spaced drive and guide rollers rotatably mounted in the body, and a drum-shaped pickling casing for containing therein pickling stuffs. The casing is placed on the drive and guide rollers to be rotated thereby. The pickling casing is provided with an opening closed by a detachable cap for introducing and ejecting the pickling stuffs. A chamber is defined between the cap and an apertured sheet extending across the opening for adjusting the gas and liquid content of the pickling stuffs during a pickling operation.
Abstract:
An electrically powered squeezer such as a caulking gun for dispensing a viscous substance such as a caulking or sealing compound. The gun comprises a housing carried by an operator and incorporating an electric motor and a switch for energizing and deenergizing the motor. The housing is formed with a holder for receiving therein a cartridge filled with the above viscous substance and having a discharge nozzle. Incorporated within the housing is a pressing element driven by the motor to compress the cartridge wall so as to force the viscous substance out of the cartridge through the nozzle. A release mechanism is included to disengage the driving connection between the motor and the pressing element when the switch deenergizes the motor, in such a way as to allow the pressing element to retract to a position where the pressing element no longer exerts pressure upon the viscous substance. Accordingly, when the squeezing of the viscous substance is interrupted, the consequential retraction of the pressing element releases the residual pressure in the viscous substance remaining within the cartridge which developed in the previous squeezing by the pressing element, thus preventing the viscous substance from drooping or oozing from the nozzle.
Abstract:
A sinter of noble metal produced by forming in a required shape or attaching to a given object a plastic art grade clayish composition or adhesion composition comprising a noble metal powder containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of pure noble metal powders and noble metal alloy powders, 0.022-3.0 wt. % of a water-soluble cellulose type resin, 0.02-3.0 wt. % of starch, or 0-0.5 wt. % of a reticular macromolecular substance formed by condensation of a component unit having phenyl propane as a backbone as an organic type binder, and water, drying to hardness the shaped composition or adhering composition, and sintering the hardened shaped composition or adhering composition at a temperature in the range of from the melting point of the noble metal and 70° C. lower than the melting point. A method for the production of the sinter of noble metal. A sinter of noble metal and an attached sinter of noble metal.
Abstract:
A cartridge type dispensing gun comprises a housing and a barrel in which is mounted a cartridge containing a supply of viscous material. A plunger is driven to extend from the housing into the barrel for pushing a piston at the rear end of the cartridge to force the contents thereof out of a spout formed at the front end of the cartridge. The spout is in use to be cut off at an angle of about 45.degree. to leave an angled edge which is utilized as a spatula when applying a bead of viscous material to a surface being treated. A joint assembly connects the barrel to the housing in such a manner that the barrel together with the cartridge received therein is rotatable about its axis with respect to the latter and is locked in one of a plurality of angularly displaced positions about that axis, whereby the angled edge of the spout can be adjusted to change its angular orientation so as to be effectively utilized as a spatula depending upon differing requirements of the surface to be treated while allowing the housing to be held at a comfortable position.

The invention relates to a new use of Coenzyme Q compounds, and more particularly, to a method of medical treatment of myasthenia by administering Coenzyme Q compounds.
Abstract:
An extruder for a fluid material including a cartridge containing a fluid material, and pushing members for pushing an end of the cartridge so as to extrude the fluid material. The pushing members are arranged to be driven by a system of a pinion and racks put in motion through reduction gears.
Abstract:
A radiant wall burner which is designed to be mounted on a wall of a radiant-type furnace such as an ethylene decomposing surface has a fuel supply tube defining a fuel supply passage for a fuel which may be a gaseous fuel and provided with a fuel outlet nozzle, and an air supply tube combined with the fuel supply tube so as to provide a double-tube structure such that one of the fuel supply tube and the air supply tube constitutes an inner tube while the other constitutes an outer tube, the air supply tube defining an air supply passage for combustion air separate from the fuel supply passage and having an air outlet which opens towards the core region of the radiant-type furnace. The burner apparatus further has a plate disposed so as to oppose the air outlet of the air supply tube thereby to deflect the flow of combustion air form the air outlet in the radial directions.
Abstract:
A rotary pickles making device comprises a base body including spaced drive and guide rollers rotatably mounted in the body, and a pickling casing for containing pickling rice-bran paste with foodstuffs. The casing is placed on the drive and guide rollers to be rotated thereby. The drive roller is rotated by a driving source disposed in the interior of the drive roller. The guide roller contacts the casing at a higher elevation than does the drive roller to transfer extra loading to the drive roller in order to enhance the frictional drive forces between the drive roller and the casing.
Abstract:
An electric shaver with a trimmer is disclosed in which a single flexible seal is used to protect the motor and electric parts from water and other material entering through the perforated comb or the trimmer.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an alternate changeover regenerative burner system suitable for use as a heat source for an industrial furnace and the like where re-increase in temperature is relatively-often carried out; an alternate changeover regenerative burner constituted by a burner 2 having a regenerator 7 and air supply/exhaust switching mechanisms 12 and 13 for switching connection with an air supply system 17 and an exhaust system 16 of the burner 2 is regarded as a module unit; and three or more units of the alternate changeover regenerative burner constitute a combustion system 1; a ratio of the number of the burners 2 performing combustion and the number of the burners 2 being stopped is variable; and combustion is controlled in such a manner that all the units sequentially repeat alternate regenerative combustion with the units forming no fixed pairs. According to the present invention, a flow velocity of air injected from a burner throat can be variable irrespective of a quantity of combustion; the flow velocity of air emitted from the burner throat can be maintained high even if the operation is carried out with a quantity of combustion lower than the burner capacity; and a non-stationary flame can be formed in a wider range.
