    Abstract: The present invention relates to a luminaire, which comprises a plate-shaped light guide, and first lamps disposed on one or more narrow sides of the light guide and configured to couple light into the plate-shaped light guide, wherein the light coupled into the light guide is emitted via a flat side of the light guide in a first irradiating direction of the luminaire.
